I see a lot of guys flying the C.205 in the last TODs. Would be great to have some more skins available. Here are some ideas (IL-2 skins courtesy of Abraxa and F.D'Amico):

Yeah I agree with you mate, the C205 definitely needs some new skins.
But I think we should wait until the plane is redone to match the 3rd generation of planes.
Spitfire, P38, Ki84 etc
P.S: The 2nd one is my favourite. :aok

Only that third skin screenshot was historical. The other 3 weren't. At least, I've never seen anything even remotely resembling them. I wanted to do some Macci skins a while back but couldn't find any that weren't already done.

All those skins are based on historical research by credible qualified authors. Just because they don't turn up in a goggle image search doesn't mean they aren't 'historical'.
The LW variant is a 202 XII series and can be found in Ferdinando D'Amico's book 'Camouflage and Markings Of The Aeronautica Nazionale Repubblicana 1943-1945'.
The ICAF skin IIRC is Duilio Fanali's first series 205...
The second is Macchi C.205 '5-3' of 3ª Squadriglia, 1°
The first ANR 'herringbone' skin can be (along with all the others) documented in Ferdinando D'Amico's book Camouflage and Markings of the ANR. I can't see the markings but the scheme is legit.

Krusty,
they are all historical. Ferdinando D'Amico is a great aviation historian and you should check his last book if you wanna find some good camos and profiles:

I'll definitely have to look for that book. Thanks for the tip!

Gatt my RL is somewhat busy right now, but I'm open to doing one or two C2 skins. I wouldn't mind a new 202 and a new 205 skin, that's for sure. However I've got to warn you it won't be any time soon (at least a month before I even begin work), and if anybody else is going to do one I'd bet on them instead of me :)

THX anyway Krusty ;)
