I'm still recovering from last time ...
Nomaks Custom Training bill (http://s90945482.onlinehome.us/roosite/Secret%20link%20folder/ahss206a.jpg) :D
But if you get shot down alot .. keep making the same wrong move over and over , need some new tricks for you acm bag ... He's great at Teaching .
-
Well.....Jeebuz Roscoroo, you got him twice! You just have a small problem with "consistency" , when he wiggles you need to run away, he's about to do something "wierd".
"Weird" can be defined as "WTF was that!!" or "OOPS", or "Holy crap! did candies just fall outta may arse?...cause I feel like a Pinata!"
All kidding aside, I get my fair share, but there are some who have "IT".
It ain't me, and I only know Nomak by rep, but....Could use a pointer or two myself. (my SA is good, I always know when I am about to die.)
All that being said, I welcome any one in the TA or DA, to learn or school me. It's all good.
We keep flying this sim to get better at this sim. It's like crack...The first two weeks are free!
Loves ya all (yep RTR's been imbibing)

LoL Roo, RTR.... good "AARs" :).
Nomak has an uncanny ability of flying just above your skill level. Makes you push yourself to the limit and over - im JUST about to get him :D. I duelled him once.... uh oh ;).
If you are serious about learning to fight 1 vs 1 take him up on his offer. Youre sure to die, but also sure to learn a lot. Good luck :D
>>S<< Nomak. DA next time :).
PS: For those that dont know the drill........ (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=161512&highlight=nomak)

hehe...
Schatzi, you always have a way of making us "little boys" grab a couple of years.
That being said...I remember giving you a couple of pointers on the 109G2, but....where's me pointers on the Hurri MKI!!!
I'm die'ing all the time with it!
Dangit Girl! Give up the secret!
cheers, and luv's ya!
(keep that Hurri..Dancing!)

Call me to TA/DA anytime RTR. I dont need much of an incentive to hop in a HMk1 :).
Heres a thread where i posted my thoughts on the HMk1: MkI Spity & Hurri (http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=162908&highlight=schatzi). I do not have a secret. Not really. Ive just "perfected" my evasive timing and - MOST IMPORTANT: SA! Loose sight, loose fight! In this situation (http://www.slowcat.de/slowcats1/films/HMk1vs190s.ahf) i am dead when i loose track of one of the 190s. I simply didnt know where he was untill he removed my wing.
And on the dying thingy.... i do that a lot as well. K/D last tours was usually around 0.6-0.8. Those 6 kill-kick-butt-sorties are far and few :).
Nomak: I apologize for the hijack. :)

lol, roo.nomak,is kind of you to offer, will be looking for you S~
-
i'd love the opportunity to practise with you nomak, i havent been flying much in the last month or two, so im getting a little rusty, could always do with a good beating :) perhaps i'll see you in the TA some time :)
-
so you have a set time you are typically in the DA? I would love to go a few rounds and hope to pick up some pointers. No rush tho', and only if nobody else needs help.
-
Roo and RTR .......:lol
Lute..... In the past I have tried to schedule everyone individually and it turns into a mess for multiple reasons.
I am gonna say that I will be available on Friday nights in the DA from 8:30pm est time to around 10:30pm est time. If no one shows then I wont sit around until 10 but if people show up ...... kewl.
Due to the way I handle training I can only do 1 person at a time. So in a 2 hour window I can work with 2 or 3 people. I will just see how it goes.

Darn! I thought this was a dating thread:p
Hiya Nomak, good to see ya back. I'll try to meet up with you sometime.

Working with Nomak Is great for honing your 1 vs 1 skills .
Dont be afraid to push your ride to the edge and past it (u'll never know the limit if you dont) also dont be afraid of extending after a bad merge and regaining an equal state again.
I suggest working on different merge manuvers beforhand also (repitition is death)
Nomak easily picks up on your Bad moves and habbits and will help you clean up your skills .... He's not for the beginning pilot, he's a great Advanced Acm Teacher .
You want to go pick on all the BK's at the same time ... you defentally need To Train with Nomak . :D
-
The one thing Id like to add is he really makes it fun.
Even while he turns you into flaming wreckage.
Dave glad you are back.

okay,i met him in the DA last nite so let me give my observation.he's like micheal jordan....complementing you while you're spinning into the ground.lol.in all seriousness i found that one hour of training left me with enough things to practice that will keep me busy for at least two weeks.S~ nomak.

Howdy Nomak. I've signed up twice for the free two week trial, but each time I never bothered to follow up on it. So I finally signed up with real money on the line so I want to give AH a go but I haven't the foggiest idea of how to get set up, what to do, etc. I'd like to set up my CH Fighterstick buttons for flaps, wep, brakes, etc., but can't figure it out. I've got TrackIR and have gotten it to work with AH but everything else is just a blur for me at this point. I'd like to catch a trainer in the training arena but so far haven't been able to find one. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
I did fly AH in it's infancy, back when Confirmed Kill was a beta, but, well, it's been a long time. Thanks.

Thanks. So how do I find a trainer online? How do I get my stick set up? How do I get voice set up? In laymen's terms if possible. Thanks.

hey hauk :)
you dont actually *need* a trainer to help you. there are plenty of people including myself that have been playing for a while now, who are regularly in the TA, all you need to do is ask for help, most people will be able to show you what to do :aok
i'll look for you online mate;)

HTC Help File (http://www.hitechcreations.com/ahhelp/index.html) and a player run page called Net Aces (http://www.netaces.org) will help you answer a lot of your questions, including but not limited to control setup, game interface, fighting tactics, gameplay..... . Net Aces has a one-page-printout for key map, very handy to have lying next to your JS when flying. This forum has a search function (bottom of page), if you need info on a specific topic. And you can always ask, usually quite a few people jump in to answer and help.
If you want to contact the Official Training Corps, mail them at trainers@hitechcreations.com with times you are available and what kind of training session youd like. One of them thats got time will come back at you.
Apart from that, Pooface is right. Just come to the Training Arena (online), in the afternoons/evenings theres usually some "oldtimer" or trainer online that can get you started.
Welcome back :).

I've totally found this to be true. While there are a couple guys who's every answer is "GO to the TA," by and large there are people on who will help out even in the MA. Complex questions, like setting up your controllers, are best addressed in TA, although sometimes text radio channel 6 "Help" can work out.
Once you've gotten off the ground, have some fun -- but dont wait too long to get soem combat tips. This game has the LONGEST learning curve of any I've played, but its also the most rewarding. I wish I had gotten together with a trainer earlier and more regularly than I did, because it woudl have made the game even more fun even faster.
Guys hate asking for directions, but its worth doing here -- and we promise not to tell!

Thanks for the info. I'm finding just setting up my joystick/rudder system quite daunting. Will keep studying the help files, maybe something will click. I'm used to just highlighting the function, clicking the button on the joystick, and it's mapped, ala IL2 Sturmovik. Oh well, hopefully I'll get a grip on it. Again, thanks.
Haukeye
Welcome back :).

Well, it IS almost that easy....
For Pitch/Roll/rudder go to "Select Joystick", highlight stick and click "SET ALL INPUTS".
For individual button mappings: "Stick Map": Highlight the function you want on the list, then click the respective button on your JS (this will highlight the button on the left side - you can also do that by clicking it with mouse). Then all you got to do it click "Set Button".
If you still got trouble, dont hesitate to holler if you see me online.

I've tried that more than once, no response from my rudder pedals, so I just go careening around the airfield with no control. The rudder pedals do show up in the game, just can't figure out how to get them to work.
Maybe I should have another beer. ;)
Thanks for your patience.

The hijack is now complete.
Oh well...... Just For the record......
My training is NOT for new players. Please go to the Training Arena or contact an offical trainer. Getting started in the game is not what I do.
The training that I offer is for players who know how to play but still need to learn how to really fight. Or for players who know how to fight and want to fight better.
Please save your "How to set up the game" questions/posts for another thread. No offence intended . There is a time and a place for that stuff. It just isnt here ;)

Have two, one for me. :) If you;d like to meet in the TA we can go over rudder pedal use. A few minutes setup and you will begin to see how useful they can be.
Hope this helps.

No big deal on the Hijack:)
I should have been more clear on the original post. Thx Schatzi, Ren and others for helping out on the questions.
