Hi everyone,
Im just coming back after 1 year and I been DISCOING like crazy. i cant even play. i never had this problem before.
I found an article about "Optimizing you p.c. for aces high'' it tells you how to set your virtual memory by right clicking on "my computer" and performance. but thats where im lost, it does not have that Performance tab on it! I realized ive got Windows XP and its different. i guess.
Can anyone give me instructions on how to set my virtual memory settings while using Windows XP??
Thanks alot,

Hap,
I tried that, but when i clicked on settings there was no CHANGE TAB there!
I tried a different way (from optimizing the p.c.) and the same thing happened - The instructions said hit PERFORMANCE and the tab wasnt there either!
maybe i have i virus?? or should I uninstall game and start over.
is there another way to get into the virtual memory?
I bought this p.c. (well Tango told me what to buy) just for AH2, thats all i play, im bumming out now:)
thanks Hap, but Im going to uninstall and reinstall aces high, unless you know or someone else knows another Route to Vitual memory??

Drum, try it this way . . . and also take a deep breath. my guess is your puter is fine.
Control panel
click on system
click the advanced tab
the rectangular menu you now see is divided into thirds . . .
click "settings" . . . there are 3 of them that say "settings" choose the one
that sits to the lower right of "performance." it occupies still in the upper third of the menu.
click advanced
click change . . . you'll see it in the lower third of the menu

also disconnects can be traced to another cause.
video driver
if you keep booting, do a search for your video card and what drivers work best. and also, you can call hitech creations. they're VERY helpful over the telepone.

yeh, its still disconnecting.
video driver? I have a nvidia gforce mx. supposed to be a good driver for ah.
im going to uninstall ah2 and call them up if it still disconnects.
Anyway, thanks for the time, Hap

Oh yeah Hap,
Thats whats so maddening. I bought this p.c. ESPECIALLY so it could run AH2 and this same computer ran AH2 great. a year ok. not one disco for the whole month.
I still think its something in the virtual memory or something else. im just going to keep playing with the settings until they work.) or call hitech.

Drum, i've not flown for the better part of a year, but will soon be back into the air.
I wouldn't hesitate to phone and ask Skuzzy for some help. It beats wanting to beat one's brains out and tossing the CPU out the window.
and good luck, hap

Roger that, i intend to, but, im down in Saint Lucia in The carribean. im not sure the 1-800 s work down here
i wouldnt mind calling, whats his number? ive got another problem now, lol i uninstalled the game and cant install it. i keep getting a message;
C:/ AH2072.EXE is not is not a valid WIN32 Application.
So i went and found and disk of the BETA ah2 ver 1994 and installed it, but i cant 'connect to host'. ) Its been doing that for a hour now. its probably busy on ah2 but i should get in eventually, right?
