I learned how to properly auger with an ElectriCub when I was about 12. Only took about 3 tries and I'd perfected it. 12 acres of field to fly in, but I only needed about 12 square feet of it.

I remember when I was 12... I just had a birthday. Now I'm a teen:t

I know the feeling. I just about munched my Duraplane (with an OS LA40) into my brother's not-so-paid-for S-10 Blazer. The clip on the elevator pushrod had broken on take-off.:noid

Reminded me of a story growing up. One of 'the guys' had enough money go buy and build his own R/C aircraft. .40 engine, balsa, dope.. the works.
After buzzing around the school parking lot for a couple weekends, we decide it's best to take it out to a pasture to fly.
Hundreds of acres of nothing.. except a flatbed trailer of irrigation pipe.
Yup.. he hit it.

Reminds me also of when my brother just about plowed my RC trainer into the open hatch of my very first car, a 1985 Subaru Hatchback, at a soccer field.
