SW it's a promo.

Rip, Wladyslaw Gnys scored the first two allied aerial victories of WWII.  He scored two more in Poland, and scored another flying for the French after Poland fell to the Nazis.  You can read more here:  http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/gnys/gnys.htm (http://www.elknet.pl/acestory/gnys/gnys.htm)

Hey Prophet,
You know our prime minister has limited power when compared to the US president / king.
Sometimes this is a good thing, sometimes it is not.

"I really wish Canada could stay out of the problems US has caused for itself, but this time we can't. What happened in NYC is also an attack on us, don't think otherwise.

We are nee deep in this toejam whole, and it going to hurt some more to get out"

I'm not exactly sure WHAT HotSeat meant by his post(i have the same reaction to MANY of his posts), but why do some of you seem to detest his comments so strongly???   HS's post is much milder than many of the America-Bashers, Appeasers, etc. (who PLAY both WB's and AH)and post their drivel here and AGW.

Last time i looked Hotseat is not a member of Al Queida or the Taliban.....

I know more than one person that felt it a benefit to them to leave HS behind when they transitioned from WB's to AH. It seems that HS still has his same ole crappy tact. What an idiot. WB's cant afford him running his mouth like he does.

Not only is Hotseat a retard, he's also VERY misinformed.  I'd bet his a Eastern Canadian Liberal.

Our Prime Minister is EXCEPTIONALY powerful in our form of gov't.  In Fact, atm, he can pass ANY legislation he sees fit, he and his party have such control of the house of commons, etc.

Only the King's of old can weild as much political power as our PM.  Oh, and BTW, he's a criminal (what politicians aren't I guess), who has misused his influence at great lenghts as of late.

FYI, our new terrorism bill?  You can now be arrested and held, WITHOUT evidence OR LEGAL COUNCIL OR HEARING BEFORE THE COURTS.  All they need is to, and I quote "suspect" you.  They are also, and I quote "wrapping up all the firearms issues in this bill".  God I hope it doesn't pass, but it's inevitable.

USA still taking political refugees?

Well I neither like, nor dislike Hotseat, but in a time of crisis, folks tend to say stuff they regret later.  We all handle crisis differently.

Not entirely true.  The bills needs to pass both the House of Commons and the Senate, and need to be signed into being by the Governor General (I know, rubber stamp.)

As far as the anti-terrorism bill, that one DOES have me spooked.

I just hope that the first time they use it the Judiciary shoots it down.

I would rather pay to play AH, then play WB for free.

Some of the issues that drove me a way still exist, including horrible gunnery that seemed always to be changing to suit a vocal minority, and bad lag.

Gotta say that all these new anti-terrorism bills have me a bit concerned too.

It's like some new tax for some special construction project or whatever. Sure, it may be neccessary at the time, but these things *never* get revoked when they're no longer needed. There's always gonna be some kinda justification for it later.

Btw., Hotseat doesn't represent Canadians. He represents Hotseat. Much the same as Ispar and Eagler don't represent the U.S. It doesn't mean much more than an individual expressing his opinion as anyone has the right to do.

Hey guys,

I stay off, and in fact don't even read other sims BB, but this topic was emailed to me.

First off, it was not my "final" comment.
In fact the following monday my comments where clarified to everyone understanding.

However if you wished to not use our product based on opinions of comments unclarified, or the political views of anyone on the developement team, thats your choice.

Just please post follow up messages, not just a quote that supports your point of view, that is an abuse of free speech, and insults the people that gave us such rights.

The link I read that sounded more like a poor choice of words more than anything. I’d have trouble finding what was said purposely malicious and spiteful, although I don’t agree about the “bringing it upon ourselves part” in the least bit.

Anyways, I don’t subscribe to your product because I don’t particularly like it. Aces High is much better IMO.

Game developers can say and post whatever they want. As long as the game is good, I could give two toejams about the political banter.

Oh, forgot one question: what is your current policy towards clients from Commonwealth of Independant States (ex-USSR)? Are they still banned from your "free-for-all" events, together with other people from former Soviet block?

Would you be so kind to say it in public, so people will not waste their time registering and your bandwidth and server resourses?

Don't worry Nash I think most of us would never look at one person and claim him/her was the mold for a country.

HS is at best a moronic hothead who can't help but shoot his mouth off. Unfortunatly WB suffers for it.

P.S. I always thought Eagler was my leader!  :p

So let me get this right just because someone voiced their opinion your ready to tar and feather the company they work for...interesting. All communities have disagreements, I play AH, WB, GPL, N4 whatever, politics play no roll in my decisions on what game to play.

HS has a right to say what he wants and you have the right to disagree, but some of you always have to take it to the prettythanghole level.
Well to each their own.

I recognize that in the post clinton era, people may have forgotten what an apology looks like.  Here is an example to remind you.  " I was wrong. I am sorry"

As far as IEN is concerned.  It is a common practice to dismiss an employee whos stupidity threatens the financial stability of the corporation.

tried WB3

still feels mushy

gunnery still seems a bit odd. I was in a 109F4 and laced the entire wingroot of a P51 with the 20mm, with no effect.

it just doesn't feel right! they have my favorite plane (109E) but what good is it?

ah well, that was about 10 minutes of entertainment. back to the G-10 and the fun of the MA

I believe the original topic was Warbirds III and its free 1 week trial...

When it was free for an entire month I played it for all of 10 minutes. Everytime they release a new version, I install it and fly it for the 20 seconds it takes to see that it still looks like crap on my Voodoo 5500 with clouds that are jittery and have visible tile borders (like X-planes version 6 demo, but unlike every other new game I have tried that has come out before or since WB3, which all look fantastic including IL2, Operation Flashpoint, SAR3, Hitman, etc.), then uninstall it. Of course WB3 lost me from the start when iEN revealed that WB3 is essentially WB2 with a new graphics engine. There were only 2 reasons I had WB2 on my computer: offline AI for target practice and head-to-head on LAN. Since HTC added LAN capability, neither is installed on my computer.

I could care less what HS says, I am more interested in what he has done and will do in terms of programming. So far, WB3 has fallen far short of his boasts for me. I don't find its graphics revolutionary or even good (some of the planes look like caricatures of the real ones) nor its modeling to be any more realistic than WB2 since it essentially is the WB2 flight models. I can't see how WB3 will ever really be competitive with Aces High as long as HTC continues to develop and refine the game at the present pace.
