Title: Looking for a book
Post by: StarOfAfrica2 on May 09, 2006, 02:26:05 PM
I used to have a copy of "No Guts, No Glory", written by a Korean War Ace.  I think his name was Bless?  Anyway, I cant find the book anywhere.  Does anyone know where I can find a copy?  It's been years since I read it and I'd like to read it again.  Plus it had some great descriptions of ACM.

Author was Fred "Boots" Blesse, Korean war ace and Vietnam airwar vet.

Didn't see one on the Advance Book Exchange

If you look online, you can probably find either  PDF version or an old copy for sale. That book is pretty much required reading for a fighter pilot.

I just checked E-Bay, Amazon, and a few other lesser ones, no go on a paper copy. :(

Visit your local library.

If your local branch doesn't have a copy ask the librarian to get you a copy. Libraries share books throughout their systems and should have one kicking around somewhere.

Thats a bit too much of a specific interest title for most systems to have, my local one doesn't even have any of the Toliver/Constable books.

Specific interest?

It's a biography.

Yeah, I tried all the usual sources, I was hoping someone would have a rabbit they could pull out of a hat for me and show me a source for out of print books I was unfamiliar with.  :)

Thanks for the PDF link though, thats a help.  Its probably boxed up in my Grandma's basement, but I cant exactly flip over to Illinois and dig through my boxes right now.

Funny enough, that same show they are talking about is what reminded me of the book.  Tore my office apart hoping I had it here with me but didnt find it.
