I was coming out of the hangar at A24 the other morning in a Tiger when I hear one person talking about losing 51 kills cause he got bombed. another was still out at the spawn point with 50 + and still going. I headed out there thinking there's a lot of vehicles spawning in. As I get closer I hear talk that it's the same guy spawning over and over again, so I think to myself what an idiot.
Then when I get out there, the guy (who shall remain nameless per Forum rules) is still there killing this T34, he's now at about 75 kills. So I start shooting at this T34 and after several assissts and some kills I notice this person spawning in isn't doing anything, just sitting there, not starting his engine or even turning his turret. Anyway the guy that was here before I got here is now on his way back to land 101 kills in his Tiger.
I'm still killing this guy popping up when it dawns on me that this might be other guy's shade account. to add to this, the other guy was almost back to the base while I am putting my 3rd round into this T34 that seems to be a tough kill, when I hear him say hit him in the rear it will kill him first shot. Hmm how did he know I was having trouble killing him when he's over 4k away and down the hill by the base.
After 16 kills I just turned my Tiger around and headed back to the base. To confirm my suspicions I checked this guy's kills against the person popping up at spawn. He has killed him 534 times in variuos planes and GV's vs only 1 death.
It's a sad thing people feel they have to do that just to get a good score.

jaxxo, why would you do such a thing? :furious

Whats sad is people still think score means anyting :D

This is neither a personal attack, nor an accusation of cheating or exploiting a bug in the game, and is merely an anecdote of your experiences in the game (call it an AAR). If you look at it in that context, you can post the names involved so that we may all point and laugh.
-
Look, the first rule of making a post like that is to name name's. It's like rule #68 or something.:lol

He didnt mention any countries..I'm impressed..lol

He's not doing a very good job at it, he still isn't beating me. I mean to go to all that work and still not be able to capture the #1 spot is even sadder.
You know it's real irritating when someone illudes to someone being a cheeseball without completely exposing them. By the end of the 2nd paragraph, I already had my pitchfork and torch in hand, DOGG-IT!!!!!!!!!! LOL

How can I call the guy a twit when I don't have names?:D
-
Remember a couple mornings ago...was it friday?....someone landed 101 kills in a vehicle.
Right afterward, the lander talked on 200 about how much fun it was, and thanked another player on another country....who pretty much giggled and said it really was fun, no problem.
I got the feeling that this time was a lot like the legendary morph-let-leviathan-vulch-458-times-straight-episode.
In other words, if its the same event, they were thumbing their noses at the score chasers, not using shades to max their rank.
And no, I'm not hiding CPIDs. I really dont remember the names involved (although I remeber that I recognized them both) because it just didnt impress me either way. Their $15 etc, etc, etc.

Screw score; play for the fight.
When you're good at the fight, pretty soon everyone knows it without ever looking up a score.

But if you fight, you can die. Isn't that bad for a score? I mean, score is the metric which tells who's good and who isn't. We wouldn't know who's good without scoring and ranking, so occasional extensions aren't bad.

True, Shawk and the gang are always on the top, I don't have to look at the ranks.
all the aces!
-
I wouldn't know about Shawk and "the gang". I can't ever remember engaging him.
Either we're on the same side all the time or we don't do the same things in the game.

All I can say is...When they PAY me to have a good Score (Rank) then i'll worry abut it.
As for some nugget vulching a friend or 2nd account.........
WHO CARES
It's no sweat off my back. Seems pretty boring to me.
I'd rather fight and die then do that...Oh wait, that is what I normally do....DIE :D

Due to the tomfoolery represented in this post, God has killed a kitten. Rest assured, those that have taken part in this are very sorry and will never do it again.
Also, morph never let levi shoot him over and over again, levi never fired a shot, morph just kept taking off and landing again. The proxy system is all that was exploited :D

:furious darn fish, they don't bite or they are so small I have to release them back to pond...
carry on

And That my children is why Score DONT MEAN anything in this game ...
(but then its fun to kill the score gamers by the pale moonlite ) :D

Actually, the most effective kill tally generator was parking my P-40B at the distant vehicle spawn of the enemy base (i.e. the one close to my base) while Morph, Hub, and others spawned and exited within range of me. That resulted in a capture and credited me with a kill, but it didn't actually affect my score since I didn't actually shoot them, since it was by proxy, and since they were in ground vehicles while I was in a plane that I could only score as Fighter.
I believe I obtained over 700 kills before somebody not in on the joke spawned and blasted me with 75mm love. D'oh!

Yes, score means something. At least for some type of people.
We are all different. Somebody likes pure fight without goals, somebody needs some kind of competition to keep interest.
Year ago when I rarely finished month with K/d more than 1 I was flying 60-70 hours per month. I saw how many pilots around were way head of me.
This month I was playing less than 4 hours. I've lost interest. There is no competition for me anymore. For sure, I am far from being good pilot, and if I meet somebody who really can fight I used to lose, but it happens so rarely that it is not good reason to waste hours for boring merge-HO-avoid HO- reverse-chasing- give up because I can't catch Dora or La7.
And I can't improve my score without doing some well known tricks what I don't want to do.
Honest scoring system would give some sense to this routine, but as it exists in the game it is giving nothing more than frustration.
PS. I didn't want to talk about me , it is just easy for me to write sentences using "I". Replace "I" by "person who likes gambling and needs some kind of indicator of his achivements to be engaged". There are a lot of such people around. We are all different...
