Hello guys!
I was trying to figure out those entry points and spawn points, in order to make my own airfields. Well never really figured them out.
Well as I couldn't get these figured no matter how many times I tried, and after reading everything that there is on the subject in these forums, and after even posting about them a while back, I came up with the idea of making my custom airfield by placing one of those three "Bomb Ent" structures under my custom airfield. When I am building it in OE, and just align my runways with the ones from the default large, medium, or small structures that I would use. I've done a test and it looks like it works. Now the actuall issue here is... how wold I go about placing those planes around, I want to place some planes around the runways, to make it look nicer. I tried to do that in TE, but over there the planes always get placed under ground for some strange reason, and no matter what I do I cannot make them stay right on the grass, they are always more or less sinked into the ground/grass it just looks bad, they don't level up with the ground itself.
Is there a way to get those planes to show up in OE "Shapes" list and place them there in my custom Airfield?
Thank you!

It would be really nice to have them, the planes, placed in my Airfield, when I build it in OE, because I wouldn't have to worry about adding them one by one in TE (if I could level them properly) every time I make a terrain, I would just add my Airfield with everything included into it (built in).

I was thinking about the same thing yesterday. Not sure how to do it, I know you can do it. Might want to ask Blauk or NHawk.

You can make an object group of all your custom airbase objects (including entpnts placed in TE) in the TE.
Currently it does not seem possible to build entpnts into a base in OE.

It would have been nice to be able to make it in OE, well I'll look into how can be made in TE, experiment with it.
Thank you Blauk!

Hey Blauk, when you make the object group. Does that export the object from the TE to the OE directory? Cause I wanna try to place some planes along the runways / hangars for strafing purposes.

Remember a plane's Y position is determined by the center point of the plane. For example, use a B17g, UN-check "Set to terrain altitude" and make the Y axis about 10 feet above your base altitude. The front wheels should be sitting on the ground now.
And I'm not sure on this, but I think most planes are drawn as they would look in level flight so it looks odd having the tail off of the ground when the plane is just sitting there. I don't work with the OE, but I think you can rotate along any axis to correct this. You can't in the TE.

Hello NHawk!
Very nice tip, it worked exactly like you said. Now, I should tilt somehow the plane so the tail stays on the ground, but don't know how. I couldn't say how would I get that plane, or any other plane for that matter to show up in OE.
Anyway that is one step forward.
Thank you NHawk!

A value of 9.75 on the y axis seems to put the plane (B17G) exactly on the ground/runway... just being picky :)

Thanks for letting us know:aok

What is the name of the Jeep, in the selection list in TE, to add it to my terrain?
I already renamed shipfilter, so I can see everything.
Thank you!
