Title: graphics settings/ clipbord glitches
Post by: Atoon on May 16, 2006, 11:28:45 PM
OK so i got my new puter and loaded AH. All seems great but I notice the "fold out" off the clipboard (you know the one about last chance to register for the con) just keeps going round and round. Also, when I go into hangar, my clipbord still shows the map, cnt get it to show list of planes

can this be fixxed by changing my settings? What should my settings be for my equipment?

dual core 3800
geforce 7600  *512MB*
2 Gigs of ram

lemme know if you need more system info- Thnx!

Make sure you've installed the correct drivers for that card. I think I heard that the newest ones suck...havta find a Skuzzy post. Anyway, that sounds like what happened to older cards running much older drivers.

Dual core 3800?

Hmmm.   From memory, I've seen a few posts on this forum regarding "spinning clipboards" and "dual core" processors.  I believe shutting one of the processors down may be the cure.  Or I've even heard of running AH in "win98 mode" will help fix the problem.

Do a search for a similiar problem.  Also look for more information on how to do some of the things I've pointed out.

Duh, skipped right over that... :D

Yup, the dual core is the probably issue. Running AH in compatibility mode for 98/ME made it work, I believe. Have a sift through this thread (the sticky at the top of the H4S Forum)
