Sometimes when things are shortened I can't understand what they're talking about....I must be getting old.
For example:
iirc ---- if I remember correctly
IMHO ---- In my humble opinion
now in regards to joysticks...what is HOTAS?
is there a site somewhere that has all these short forms decoded?

search this forum for a post by batfink, aces high lingo or something, got everything you need :)
HOTAS stands for hands on throttle and stick, basically a way of desribing a joystick set where the throttle and stick are seperate, in 2 consoles. this gives better control and usually more buttons for you to program. decent examples being CH fighterstick and throttle and the saitek X45 and X52, where the joystick has it's own console, and then the throttle, mainly for the left hand is in another console and has other buttons and functions. hope that helps :)

To add HOTAS means you don't have to ever touch your keyboard in a dogfight. If you do then its not set up as HOTAS.
Hope this helps.
