Whenever a new process is certified (at Intel), we have a celebration event and are given some kind of momento. The event and momento are usually determined by the financial climate of the time. Needless to say this year things were kept minimalistic.
That's not really a big deal to me... I understand the reasoning. What I cannot fathom is why this would have been given as a momento:

Its not dishwasher safe (says so on the bottom). Its about 20" tall. Its ugly as sin. There's no way in hell anyone is going to walk around drinking anything out of it.
To be honest, very few people that received this thought that holding "drinking" water was its primary function.

Hmmm....
Leave that with me for 20 minutes and I'll turn it into something worthwhile... (http://www.duhspot.com/users/smiley/s/otn/funny/bongsmi.gif)
;)
Other than that, I'd use it to beat the easy mode out of Milenko. :)

Those are VERY common here in PR. They are not supposed to be re-used.
How are they common? in big parties they sell those things FULL of beer.
My (ex)girlfriend used to have like 50 of those, for some reason she collected them
-
20" you said, huh?
It's not for drinking, and I can see how it can be useful for a woman, but 50 of those ...? :D

Well, Deja, it beats "the watch" doesn't it ? ;)

it could be used for weight lifting, just fill it with sand and/or water ;)

I have two from St. Patrick's day a couple of years ago. They are fun when they are full of beer, but not very useful when it's time to clean them out and store them. Come to think of it, my finacee probably tossed them by now.

SW, you'd probly have to cover the current opening, invert it, pop the bottom off, and...
Hey, hard times call for hard measures.

Actually Dinger, I could make a damn fancy one out of that wierd thing...
I've used far, far less... a glass lantern cover (old oil lanterns that have the removable glass cover), a 1/2" metal pipe, 3/4" engine coupler, 1 ton adhesive glue (the stuff that comes in a dual tube, can be found at any hardware store) and a top to a preserve jars (just the thin metal disc of the lid), a solid glass base from the top of a thick glass jar and the cap to a gatorade bottle.
Tools required: Dremel power tool with glass and metal sanding attachments.
