Title: CH products
Post by: helbent on May 25, 2006, 07:24:52 PM
My new stik has arrived.

It has many buttons.

I have the CH throttle, pedals, and fighterstik now.

If anyone could share a good stik set with me, I'd be forever in your debt.

TY

helbent I have CH F-16 Combatstick usb, Throttle USB and Pedals USB.

I have a map but may be slightly different because it's a combatstick.  If you want it let me know I'll copy and send it to you.

I use Control Manager the software that came with the HOTAS.

I use the same setup with a custom Control Manager profile but I think I've changed some things in AH stick setup also so It would probably be useless to you. Honestly I can't remember what I changed in AH without looking.

My advice to you is to use Control Manager and create a combined profile. That is, set it up so that all 3 devices show up as one controller.

You have 32 activeX buttons to use along with programming keyboard input. I would map your most common functions to the Active X controls and then use keyboard after you run out. Also, I map the pinky button as a shift key to give each buttons 2 functions, normal + shifted.

The documentation for CM is pretty good. Just go through the help file and learn the basics of programming the controls.

I've written a few scripts to do neat things with the views and the microstick if you're interested.

The new version has sent my stick map to the toilet. Now I have to try and fix everything. Not a single button works from my old map. I was using a modified version of a map that I at CH hanger. Now nothing.

I would appreciate if you sent me the files you mentioned.  I've been trying to get Aces High to see the combined joystick/rudder without any success.  Any suggestions?

Gave up on CM long ago; due to problem I was having and a post that suggested it. Love working w/o it.

Be happy to send my settings for now with a map that I hang above monitor.

Anyone know what all files would need to be sent to copy all current stick mappings?

If you want it, email "Fireof59@yahoo.com" and let me know
