Title: For Nutzoid
Post by: Stoney74 on May 27, 2006, 01:51:58 PM
Hey Nutz,

I don't take pleasure in posting this, and I should have just kept my mouth shut anyway, but...

22 March 1991

7 Killed, 2 seriously wounded in Al Khafji when LAV-25 was hit with a Maverick missile

Unknown date March, 1991

9 Killed, 12 wounded when Brits of the 3rd Battalion, Royal Fusiliers were hit by A-10s

23 March 2003

10 Killed (officially) unknown wounded in An Nasiriyah when A-10's hit C company, 1st Bn, 2nd Marines.  I've read the investigation on this one myself, a friend of mine was the Company XO and was there, and one of my Marines was killed there.  His HMMWV was riddled with 30mm cannon.  There's some suspicion that the number killed would have been as high as 16 if the autopsies would have been more conclusive...

No enemy aircraft since WWII has chalked up such a record against allied forces unfortunately...
