Go watch my Movies..... Tell me what you think, I'll be makeing some jug films in a bit too.
And Thanks to Nomde!:aok

What a breath of fresh air blu!! Love the music. I don't know how to make movies, but I might learn because Charlotte Church's rendetion of Humperdink's "Fourteen Angels" from Hansel and Gretel would make a very effective sound track for an aces high movie.
Sometime, if and when you have both time and interest, help me with some hog stuff?

That was an awesome shot ( Two birds one stone). You'll be braggin bout that one for years. ( I bet your glad you were recording!)
I like the music it fits well, kinda melodramatic.
-
Sure I will help you with a hog when I have some time...I'm in the process of moveing so won't have internet until tommow or friday ... once I move my computer-I've left it and TV until last ;)
I want to make an F4u film as well.... maybe once I get a few jug films done.
As for makeing films.... here is a good thread on it: http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=178335
The trickiest part IMHO is finding good editing software, and dealing with views in the AH film viewer.
-
Ya Crosseye it was nice shot... but nicest part is it's two overshoots at once too .. not just two shot at once .... Earlier in the sortie I shoot two at once in BnZ, that is not so uncommon.
Getting them to line up like that was downright 'Hollywood' :D
-
Ya that was a nice shot! Nice flyin...can't those guys hit anything? :)
-
Actually Filth .... You're the F4u (wink)
-
thats just freakin sick.
any chance you could post the .AHF so i can add this to my furball movie when it eventually gets going? I already got YUCCA's landing trick saved up for that.
-
Sure Bat ... I can e-mail it ..... Or I can maybe host it, but that will take longer.
Private mesg. me your e-mail?
-
Hehehe
I love fighting mults Vs 1 when the mult guys stay all grouped up together rather than spliting up and using different angles. There is nothing better than seeing both bandits going the same way.
Nice shot, gotta love when that happens.

I'm still waiting for the first time i kill two planes with a single half second burst
Blu, djhayze21[at]hotmail.com no hurry, im the most disorganised person on earth.
talking of shameless plugs..( http://www.freeroleentertainment.com/CHECK6.wmv ) *ahem*...:D

Nice shot :aok I can almost hear the whining

LOL after I posted it I said to myself..I'll bet I was among them...too funny. But..please I must see to believe it!
Just watched it again...first time I saw it I thought there was 7 on ya there as well.

we need to get our greedy paws on the .AHF :D
looking at the film, the reversing move is such a refined combination of snap roll and and stick back with the speed and rudder control perfect.
what infact happens is the spit is being forced to fly vertically upwards 'pushing' through the air on momentum, and the entire under side of the plane becomes the leading edge. this has the effect of incredible speed reduction in a short amount of time and also best sets up the pilot to view the two attackers pulling back up under him.
what makes all this ACM rubbish worth everything is rolling back out of this evasive with enough coordinaton to A) keep a good control of flight speed and AoA. B) make the shot count on both aircraft.
factoring in that the only other planes in icon range were enemy and all within attack range, and secondly that both the victims had been in a very strong offensive possition not more than 3 seconds ago....
really is one in a million that we will see a similar film again.

LOL Bat,
What all those that are amazed by this tells me, is that you guys have to fly in really bad odds more often, then you will see this all the time.

Both victims were not in very strong offensive positions. They were too fast and both in the same spot. Recipe for just this sort of thing.
It was nice flying tho, and IMH that is what the Spit XVI does best.:aok
-
hardly true, i am always fying hugely outnumbered odds.
i'd like to see another film showing one half second burst killing two enemies who *did* have a huge offensive possition 3 seconds ago if they lost more speed.
maybe cherry picking two guys at once, seen that, done that.
this was in what was most definitely a 2 vs 1 fight, with back up for when the 2 die.
its a tremendous fluke, and a very good shot and reflex speed.

Well I'd just got into a fight with one f4u when another and the spit came in. I put the one F4u off angle and out of the fight long enough to handle the incoming F4u and the spit. The spit dove in from high, The second f4u came in beside me or below me to my left.
My frist goal when out numbered is to try to get enemies into the same area. Haveing two cons at 3 oc is better than one at 3 oc and one at 9 oc.....
So I did try to bait them into the same area, not that I could make them fly together like they did if I tried, but you can bait them into the same general area.
I don't think they were in same spot at all when I started. I tried to make the situation clearer in the shorter movie by showing the spit diveing in..... You can see both f4u's below from that POV.
Here's the .AHF of the sortie. Download on the right-middle. Should have landed it too, just screwed up at end thinking the spit that hits my fuel was shooting at the other spit (one was rook, one was knit, and I was Bhop)

also......I just got fiber ...... neener neener neener :D

Bat I disagree, being on someones six or diving in on someones six with too much speed is not a good offensive position, (Well I guess for a cherry picker it is) especially when you have someone like mane who knows how to reverse well.
Also when fighting 4 V 1 or more, this type of situation is not that far from the norm. Getting the double kill is, but not being in the situation.
I don't think they were in same spot at all when I started.
Why do you think I am referring to the start of the fight. That is kinda silly.
They are in the same spot as in they are both overshooting and now in front of you. Meaning they are fighting each other for the kill rather than getting themselves into a "good offensive position".
My frist goal when out numbered is to try to get enemies into the same area. Haveing two cons at 3 oc is better than one at 3 oc and one at 9 oc.....
So you are agree with me?
I am not trying to take anything away from your film, it was a nice shot and when these things happen it is always cool.
