After patch...
FPS dropped to 1, 3 if I'm lucky. I was a constant 59, the refresh rate. In addition range vox is in slooooooowwww motion. Courser does the jig across the screen, typed text is delayed 3 or 4 seconds.
Setting video to 1200x800 = hard crash, windows says no, re-boot... meaning yank out the battery.
Notebook P-M 1.73, 128M 6600go, 1G RAM, USB audio advantage roadie.. nothing new, changed, or different... other games are ok

Clear your cache and try again. Worked for me.

Tried that with a defrag, now... if I start the game it might work at regular speed, if it doesnt swapping usb ports, hot, *sometimes* clears up the speed issue.
Starting AH with no joysticks is fine, from there it takes a few tries at different usb ports to keep it at 60 FPS... but both sticks are dead to the game.
Even if it starts ok with 1 stick, the map still refuses to take. No Hat, buttons, nothing... it wont even disrupt auto take off
Even if I'm lucky enough to get the game started & running normally with my joysticks both plugged in, which has happened exactly 3 times, no matter what I try with in game settings, neither stick will accept any mapping....
Everything worked so well before too, a spare evo sits on the floor so I can move the trottle with my toe, my Saitek Rumble force on the desk.

Last thing I know to look for is the Preload options in video setup. Even my monster machine chokes on preloading textures to video memory. I suspect that with all the complaints there is something yet to be discovered that is wasting processes.

The problem had to do with his force feedback stick. It should be fixed in 2.08 Patch 1.

In Version 2:07 I could preload video memory but that choice is not available in Version 2:08. Maybe it will be restored in a later patch.
