We have invisible trees & problems with spawning in trees again.
Some of the trees disappear as you get close to them, some are just never visible.
I mentioned the tree problem in the beta thread.
I mentioned it when I saw HTC employees in game.
I was all but called a retard by some other players who insisted there were no problems & I just didn't know how to set the GUI detail up.
My detail is max'd out & has been all along.
The hangar view is also a little messed up with ships, some of the ships do not show up in the view when looking for ship gun positions for example, the front half of the cruiser was not visible so you could not get into the guns in the front half of the ship.
I have some film of my panzer bumping into invisible trees, I have not reviewed the film yet to see what was recorded.
-
Checked my film, it shows the trees blink out before I reached them.

there are invisable bariers that stop gvs dead in there tracks and some of my sqaddies have spawned in to trees,it took me 5 minutes to get my ostie to move once it hit the invisable barrier.

I've had this issue too...
I was flying NOE and as I would approach trees they would dissapear from vew... sometimes they came back... most of the time they were gone for good... kinda wierd.

Same here. Invisible trees. You can see the trees but as you get closer they disappear. Howver they are still there invisible and stop your GV cold. I have film too.
Happens in ALL vis range settings. Happens with Vid sliders at max or min.
ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 512 Mb, Omega drivers 2.6.71

I've had the same issue also
Looks like your going thru a clear valley then whammo, stopped dead in my tracks. Wiggle around a second and I am in a forest
-
Same here.
Both myself and squaddies have encountered the magical trees.
You can see them as you approach them.
When close they dissapear.
But they are still there, e.g. they can stop you dead in your tracks.
Hard to navigate around as you can't see them.

Done! I'm running an Nvidia NF4 chipset with BFG Geforce 7800 GT OC vid card and PCI-E. Running on latest drivers on Gigabyte k8N Pro-Sli motherboard with 2 ghz of OCZ ram in (4) 512mb modules with AMD FX-55 processor. Nothing runs in the background on Winxp home edition (well nothing that I can run AH without that is as all the winblows crap that I can do without is disabled). I certainly hope you folks correct this soon as GV'ing is pointless now for me.
All the Best...
Jay

I got your films and they were instumental in getting the bug fixed. Thanks one and all.
And before I get asked, as I inevitebly do, when the fix will be out - it will be 10:32:15 am, CST, Saturday June 10th, year of our Lord 2006. That, or some other time.

Just as I suspected. They never hired a new programmer. This is HT in shades :D

Thanks Sudz, I was trying to find my film yesterday so I could send it in. I need to clean out my films folder.

I think of them as giant Venus Fly Traps.
