Title: More user friendly

I think HTC and crew have done a great job with these new patches.  Yer, OK the pain of learning somthing new BUT ain't it just so much easier now.  It's all spelt out for you now and as for newbies it's gotta be a bonus for us all.  They'll be alot less "Who ya do this" now.

Granted some stick functions went tits up but it's even easier to map stuff now than before.  You get in "map controlers" click a button on stick for a function then find that function in the list and double click.  So really bloody simple.  Those text boxes are a god send.  That stick scale is fantastic unlike the old version.  You can set all axis damper dead bands.  Go check it out it's really very easy.  My CH stick pitch axis needed some attention and it's great now.  You couldn't have seen that in the old method.

Learn something new appreciate it's for the best stop moaning about it and put 2 plus 2 together.  Combat tour + con = I wonder ?

WELL BLOODY DONE HTC great new settings:aok

I would say the reverse -

You were able to jump from fighter to gv to buff seamlessly.

Now you require modes or extra buttons.
E.g one button toggled between he/ap for GVs and bombs/rockets for jabos, not any more, you now need two.
Try mapping "fire all" to a single button and drop bombs. It doesn't, you now need to use the 'B' (or whatever) key.

Sorry they have taken an easy to use UI and just complicated it. (joystick/mouse settings).

Personally I can't even see the reason for it.
The new graphics are OK, but the underlying changes have just made it even harder for newbies to get started.

I would have gone with new look minus the joystick/mouse changes, but hey thats only my opinion.

I agree with you Kev, but they have made the interface look a whole lot fresher & the hanger looks cool. The newbies will be able to pick up the game a whole lot easier now.

Still the should have kept the Joystick/Mouse setup the same.

P.S: Tracers look cool, now you can actually see where your rounds are going now. All we need now is some smoke buffs from the guns.

I think the UI is much better now, much more understandable. Guess the problems with the mapping will get ironed out.

One thing I'd like to see on tracers is the ability to set tracers per gun, Say tracers for MGs and none for cannons. Also the ability to set the tracer count. i.e. 1/3 1/5 1/7.

Though this is by no means to be a priority.
