Not only is this squad not registerd, 8 of the 9 kills came after he had died once already. U better bet I'll be looking at the roster next week for this guy. I've seen this before where a guy slips in beacause he is in a squad and the hosting CM is looking for players with No Squad. But the squad the guy is in is not registerd and it goes unnoticed. Well not anymore brothers,... I'll be looking at the roster and reporting this crap from now on,
this guy ruined alot of peoples fun and he shouldnt have even been there.

I hope there is a good explanation, if not it stinks.
Beans is an experienced player and if he is not part of Squad Ops, my guess is it will be the last one he will be in for a long time.
CM’s are looking into it.

By any chance, he isn't the same guy who jumped into the CV guns and was shooting down planes taking off a couple of months ago, was he?

He may have actually flown as a 'guest' in a registered squad. That being said he was still out of uniform and appears to have re-upped after being killed.
There were several other players who were not part of a registered squad. On the Axis side there was a player calling us all Jerks because he was not able to participate. This one flew in under the radar but he will be looking at his desktop real fast if he shows up next week....

I only count 15....3 squads were authorized these planes and they upped a total of 15 (1 of the 9Giap logged on was only an observer, so if you counted him it threw the total off)...who had the extra? I couldn't find it, not that it matters, it'll get sorted out in the scoring I'm sure.

Shevy, sounds like a new player to FSO, I don't recognize him. He should receive a verbal warning. Being as his actions did not result in any additional planes being lost for the allied.

I was told there were 15 Spit IX's total that launched. Looks like we had a few rogues..

Copy looks like this was overlooked. Spits should not have been enabled at 15.

Spits were not enabled at A15, I just checked the tables that were used last Friday and the spit 9 was not enabled at A15, Unless someone made a change after I loaded the tables.:huh
But I wasn't there so it wasn't me.

Dunno about this, but did his squad put up a mission?
I throw this in because there is an undefined bug I have seen several times with missions. Recently in FSO my squad flew typhoons and all joined the posted mission. One plane upped with bombs while the others all had the drop tanks that were defined by the mission.
On another occasion (really weird), I joined a hurricane mission and launched in a 110. This stuff happens. There are other examples from other times. It's rare but you better believe it happens.

Gentlemen,
This member is on my squad and he was registered with us for the event. He was looking forward to flying with us and hasn't flown in any of these events. Well, maybe one.... i'm not sure.
In any case, I will be sure to discuss this with with everyone in my squad so that this kind of thing won't happen again intentionally.

I didn't catch that he upped a Spit. I'm more surprised
that nobody elese in my squad alerted me to it.
Anyway, he should have known better. With the extra 20 minutes
we had I went over our operations order line by line just to
make sure that guests knew our plan.
I will have a talk with the lad.

I was wondering if you have tried using the arena settings for death count.
DeathMaxCount:
Limits the maximum number of deaths a player can have during the time limit set by DeathTimeMin.
DeathTimeMin:
Sets the time limit in minutes for the DeathMaxCount variable.
so if DeathMaxCount was set to 1 and DeathTimeMin was set to 180 each pilot could launch once in a three hour period.....
I would see the following issues:
1- Would cause problems where you have plane like the VAL with multiple lives
2- If I recall correctly, pilots who crash or disco in the first 15 minutes are allowed to re-up and the death count would stop them.
A solution to this may be to change the setting after the first 15 minutes. but perhaps it will not take effect until a player logs off and back on
3- It may stop people from joing other players as a gunner/observer
4- I think it would stop people from joing ships as a gunner

Hi Mussie haven't seen you in a while :)
It seems you have answered your own question. Death Max count is used in snasphots but has not been used in FSO. 1, 3 and 4 are correct. Number 2, logging off and coming back into the arena, I am told, has been corrected. Once you have recorded your max deaths you cannot up again until the specified time has elapsed.

Its a pity that the death count is not broken down into Fighter / Bomber / GV / Ship gunner, would have been a boon for FSO's....
Mind you thinking about it, the sort of player who will break the rules on purpose would usually be immature (IMO) and if they were forced to wait five minutes they would probably log and goto the MA...
If the Death Time Min: was set to 5 then anyone wanting to take off again would have to wait five minutes.... It might cause more problems than its worth but its a thought....

No, that guy's name was lilsoul... I was on the CV he screwed around with... He later upped an F4U1-D and tried to link up with our squad (which was in Hellcats) but was obviously drunk... I'm sure that this is not the same guy.
