Title: Cannot conntect

I played yesterday and i uploaded the patch and it wont connect to host and i checked my firewall and still nothing. help please

Did you tell your firewall to re-allow the new version?  That happens sometimes when you update.

i made it so when my firewall detects internet acsess coming from ah it would allow it i made it do that on the patch a couple days ago. and nothing happens to my firewall when i try to start ah online. so yeah i do do that to my firewall

Same problem here,,,,reloaded came, totally disabled firewall and i still "instantly" get "Cannot connect to host"

Same thing here. Updated the patch and now it say's.AH has encountered a problem and need's to close.HELPPPPPP!!!

Ok, first of all what firewall are you using?  Windows Firewall?  Zonealarm?  Something else?

gw327th, your problem is different.  You have something that is causing Windows to shut down Aces High, the others in this thread are unable to connect to the server.

Dont know what it could be.Went into game then it closed the hole system down.Booted back up and checked ever thing and looks good but will not run AH

gw327th, start a new thread with your problem and post your direct X diagnostic report.  It gets confusing with more than one issue in a thread.

o.k.  did another complete reinstall....nothing....did a system restore to an earlier  date... reinstalled...nothing....clea red temp. files... cookies... cleared cache.. defrag.. killed Norton.. reinstalled...nothing   CANNOT CONNECT TO SERVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is Norton running your Firewall as well?  Are you using something else for a firewall?

Has Windows updated itself recently on your computer?

I'm afraid if all I know about you is that you have Aces High and you cant connect to the server, I cant help you.  I need to know more than that.

Yes, Norton is my firewall and i'm pretty sure windows didnt update in the 15 seconds it took to download patch.  system as follows:       Dell4600
Windows XP   Pentium 4 - 3.00GHz, 512 RAM, Intel 82865g grafix cont.
Intel Xtreme Graphics 2?

Ok.  2 things you can check.  

First, I dont use Norton so I'm unfamiliar with the process it uses to "allow" programs to access the internet.  I'm assuming you have a list of programs that are allowed.  Sometimes when you update Aces High, the firewall doesnt allow it anymore.  You have to remove it from the list of allowed programs and then add it anew.  Perhaps you already did this, if so I'm sorry, just typing things out as I think of them.

Second, check to make sure Windows didnt somehow turn on its firewall.  It happens sometimes.  Happened to me once and it took me 3 days to figure it out, since I never use it.  

I'll bang my head against the wall and see if I can think of anything else.  I know there must be more ways to cause that.

Also can't get an online connection. When I get to the screen listing the arenas with their current ping numbers, there are no ping numbers and I can't get in.

I re-allowed AH in my McAfee firewall. I know that's not the problem because it would have stopped me before it would opn AH if I hadn't updated it.

Appears to be something on the net or something on your end.

Sorry guys, I'm out of ideas.  Best I can suggest is to email Skuzzy so he'll get your mail first thing Monday, unless he checks in today.  

Maybe one of the other guys will have the answer.  :(

Thx Coronado! Got it, it was the sound card.It had worked lose.
