Post by: mentalguy on June 04, 2006, 09:35:22 PM
Since alot of people are buying new cards. I was wondering what you guys did with your old cards. Right now im looking into buying a mid-ranged card to replace my Xtacy Radeon 9200. Does anyone have an old card or know where i can get one for a reasonable price?

Look for a good 9600 or 9800

Stay away from anything that has SE on the end.

Hey now! "9800" or anything with 9000 series is NOT OLD!!!!

NOT!
NOT NOT NOT!

Spoiled youngsters!

My "old cards" usually get handed down to the other PCs in the house. My family each has their own PC and a print station. That's 5 PCs and 1 laptop total, so there's plenty other stuff to upgrade. I'm the only real gamer of the bunch so I pursue hardware updates more than the others (still not too often). When I get something better I put the next-best thing in the computer that could best use it.

Ruk and I just tossed up a serious discussion over the x800 x1600 cards and there bolth 3.0 shader and under 200 bucks  . the 9800pro has been de-throwned  by these 2 cards IMRO   (In My Roo Opinion )
