Talking about Ripsnort and knowing despite his best efforts, can't seem to find his way in (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
Its been rather quiet today [the chatroom], but I've also had to do some work, so I havent been in as much as I have previously. Its always open, and as usual, as the weekend approaches and people are able to play, its dead! hehe But come the work week, and a few folks have some idle time, it quickly fills up.
The web URL is http://online.checksix.net (http://online.checksix.net) (port 7000 for you poor souls behind firewalls). You IRC'rs can go to irc.checksix.net port 6667 and log on that way.
You guys are welcome to create your own squad rooms and such and make use of it. The server is there and I'm just tickled to see it get some usage. So have at.
Enjoy and take care!

Been in there during evening hours, but alas, not a soul on... (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/frown.gif)
What is that MIRC thing, and how does it work?
-
mIRC is just a text based chat program that allows other things like noises and such. It also allows for each room to be setup with bots, or operators (for booting someone) and things like that.
If you are happy with that chat protocol through your net browser, then you don't need mIRC...
Otherwise: http://www.mirc.com (http://www.mirc.com)
It's a 1MB file and you have to manually setup the Checksix server inside of the options area.

Hey Rip
1. Evening Hours...don't think you'll find many people on then, since its evening, they are home and can PLAY Aces High after enduring the day job! However, if you guys wanna create your of Squad Rooms and meet there, have at! And linking it is easy.. http://online.checksix.net/?room=[name (http://online.checksix.net/?room=[name) of room]
2. MIRC is one of many IRC Clients. IRC is short for Internet Relay Chat. IRC is hugely popular and has just about as many topics of interest, and offense, as the Newsgroups do.
