Most well known for their yellow-nosed P-38Js ("California Cutie" and "Happy Jacks Go Buggy" were 20th birds) and black and white nosed Ponys, the 20th was also home to the top 2 P-38 aces of the 8th and were among the top of the 8thAAF FGs in ground attacking and strafing missions.

Well, the good news is that we already have P-38J skins for Art Heiden's "Lucky Lady" and Jack Ilfrey's "Happy Jack's Go Buggy".

"California Cutie" is the best looking one IMO.

Hey White 13 I was in the 20th TFW at Upper Heyford UK from 1980 to 1983. When they had F111's. Last I heard they were at Shaw flying F-16s. I could be wrong about that. We had a 20th FG in Warbirds about a gazillion years ago I was a member.
If you ever need 20th FG decals for 148th scale P-51 models PM me
I got a crap load I'll never use.

Good, more easy meat for my Hog, hehehehe.

Airmess' "Cutie" is the skin I almost always fly on the J model, although I do fly the "Go Buggy" and the "Lucky Lady" as well. I used to fly "Scat" and "Scrap Iron" a lot in AW.
I have emails from Art Heiden somewhere, as well as from Stan Richardson, and several other P-38 pilots.
Good luck to you on the new squad.
