That is obvious just from the sound of it, even if the look of the nose doesn't scream it to you.

What I like about the DB engines is that unique "high pitch" sound that is mixed with the usual engine roar.. IIRC someone said that was the superchargers going into works?

Anyhow, its very cool.. almost harmonic.

Awesome vids, good find!

We could use these to get some good sounds for in game.  If anyone knows how do do digital audio stuff well, please, for the rest of our sakes, get these sounds so we can all hear the beauty.  The sounds in AH leave much to be desired, and I'm trying to track down as many sources for better ones as possible.  We could all get an awesome sound pak together.  Or does one already exist?

Hiya 68Hawk!

Have you tried the Custom Skins and Sounds forum?
http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=71

The 2nd, 4th, and 5th posts all relate to community created soundpacks. Quite good too IMO

I have some authentic DB600 series sounds I've been working on (not to mention Pratt & Whitneys and Rolls Royce, among others). They should be up on my site within the next few weeks.

I'm playing with thoughts of buying some recording equipment and going to air shows to capture aircraft sounds in HD, though I don't have the money at the moment (I'm inching towards that point).

Hey Fruda!

Could you toss me the link to your site?  Thinking about grabbing your sound pack that I've heard so many good things about!

'preciate it!!
