I don't use a computer desk and chair.
I use an old office desk. Older model all metal. And a regular kitchen or dinner table chair with a cushion on it.
I use 2 old speakers for setting up my flight controls. One on the left right next to the chair for the throttle, and one just infront with the left most side algined with the right chair leg for the stick. Rudder peds are on floor right in front of the chair.
When I do anything but AH I move the right speaker back and slide the chair forward.
Works ok. Tried the so called computer desk and chairs. NO THANK YOU.
Actually made me very uncomfortable!
Got carpel tunnel in my right wrist.
The setup I'm using right now works OK.

I also use an old newspaper desk, all metal with a wood top. Great stuff, lots of space. For the seat, I use an Aeron knock-off. The Aeron chair I had when I worked was fantastic.

I built mine. The stuf they sell in the stores is made for midgets, or something smaller than a 6'3" person. I dunno what, but even my Wife is too tall for them at 5'7".

I also use an old all metal desk I got years ago at a farm sale. I call it my aircraft carrier because it's big as desks go. Wife hates it but she knows how much I love it so it's tolerated.
As for the chair, I've been using the same metal fold up chair you'll find in any school gym for years. Comfortable and no problems.

I have an old desk my parents bought back in the 80s. We bought it a few days after bring home a brand new....ready? .... Commodore 64
The desk is the right height, its very wide and his these flanges on each side, so joysticks, mousepads and pens dont fall off the sides.
Since it doesnt have a built in computer stand, but is very deep...you can get away with a 3 monitor/multi-monitor setup.
Heck, I think its the only desk you could get back then that wasnt pressure-board/sawdust & glue!
I see all those super nice desk systems when I walk thru Staples...then I remember how comfy my desk is....like a good recliner...that just doesnt match any decor!
