LOL his office or workers have actually been calling my house and want me to call back. Gave me a confirmation number and everything
Thomas,
I want to stress to you the critical and confidential nature of this correspondence. I respectfully ask that as an Honorary Chairman, you keep what I am about to tell you between the two of us.
Thomas, the situation here at the committee is dire. We believe the recent polls showing the Democrats taking over Congress could be accurate. You read that right. Here’s why:
For the first time in recent memory, the Democrats have as much cash on hand as we do. This is usually our “most potent weapon” - now that’s gone.
The daily attacks on President Bush by the Liberals and the media have taken their toll on the President---and Republicans. And they have managed to drive our approval ratings to an all time low.
All this is ---- a “Perfect Liberal Storm” that could sweep Nancy Pelosi into the Speaker’s Office --- and set the stage for a Democrat (Hillary?) in the White House in 2008.
Unless…
We can count on you - personally - and your fellow Chairmen to stand against this rising Liberal tide.
I’m asking you to do 2 things.
First, join me, The President and First Lady, Republican Members of Congress, and your fellow Chairmen on June 19th in Washington for the President’s Dinner and Annual Board Meeting. Rearrange your schedule if you have to --- but please do everything you can to be there. The future of our Country and our Party literally hang in the balance. I am still holding your tickets for you.
Second, if you absolutely cannot come, recognize that as one of our Top Chairman there’s never been a better time to show your support --- and never been a time we’ve depended on you more.
Call my assistant Chris Taylor @ 1-866-515-7737 TODAY with your Secure ID #00E41F. She’s got all your information and is expecting your call.
Your support now - could be the only thing separating us from a Liberal Congress and ---
Repeal of the tax Cuts on you and your business
Socialized Health Care
Weaker stance on terrorism
Impeachment of President Bush
I don’t want to wake up the morning after the election thinking I could have done more --- and I know you don’t either. I know you’ve been extremely supportive in the past, but I’d consider it a personal favor to me.
Godspeed.
Tom

You're like a superhero or something! You have the power to do something great for the future of our country by destroying the Republican Party!
One down, one to go! Maybe I can be your sidekick and destroy the Democrats.

the republican party is not corrupt.
at least; not any more corrupt than the democrats.

^ wha?
Yeah... can that be any more tired of a talking point? Sure they aren't Hang..... sure they aren't. Mmmphht...
In other news, Tester just kicked heavily favoured Morrison's bellybutton to the curb tonight!
I always knew the Montanians.... erhm.... Montanites? Montaners?
whatever...
..... weren't as bellybutton backwards as they looked.
j/k...
I love the place...

erhm.... back on topic.... Thanks Dred. That's one of the funniest damned campaign (give me money) letters I've ever seen.

Hell... I can't even say that. I'm non-partisan. Made the trip to the polls today a real short one.

DRED, this one's priceless. Have you picked out a frame yet?

And this November, it's your duty as an American citizen to choose between the corporate puppet on the right hand, or the corporate puppet on the left hand.
Remember, you do have a choice; Crisco, or KY?

Nash says this point of view is bunk.
He said it, and I believe it.

New third Party, anyone?

And Im an honorary chairman.
And they want me to have dinner with the president.
LOL I'll tell them like I told my township polititions when a couple of them suggested I run for one of the offices.
"You dont want me there. Trust me. If you knew me better you would know that
First off I'm not a puppet. Im not the type thats going ot go along with party lines because they are party lines.
I'm going to say whats on my mind and tell people what they NEEDto hear rather then what they "WANT to hear.
The main problem with that is when I do speak people often dont want to hear what I have to say reguardless of how true it is
Secondly. I dont care if I step on peoples toes or who's toes I step on.
Peoples titles and positions do not impress me in the slightest.
People impress me
I dont give a damn about any type of protocol execpt my own. So you might as well forget about anything remotely resembling status quoe
Thirdly. I see alot of dirty watermelon going on in this town. And I'd actually want to clean it up and would be very vocal about who and what it is. Reguardless of who it was. And I see the dirt on both sides of the isle.
Trust me. If I were there. inside a month both sides would be trying to figure out a way to get rid of me.
No way, No WAY do any of you want me there."

There are bad interns on all sides trying to weasel their way up. I live in Oregon where we can vote by mail. I got a phone call from the Dem party asking me who I was going to vote for. When they were happy with my response they ask if I had mailed my ballot. Nope... done & sealed sitting on the counter. Same guy called back the next day... asked if I'd mailed it yet. Nope... sitting on counter. Next day he calls back again and tells me he is going to call every day until I put the ballot in the mail. I can't remember exactly what I told him... but he didn't call back again. =) (I think it was something about changing my vote for Bush)

Not my district. Right now we have Bill Thomas, but he's retiring so the mad scramble to grab his seat has begun. For as long as I can remember no one bothered to even run against Thomas. The job was his as long as he wanted it.

The only difference between the words "politician" and "corruption" is the spelling.

Don't let 'em fool ya. The democrats will pretend they believe their party to be corrupt to get you to go along in voting for an independent while they don't. Who lost the '92 election because they voted for a third party? It wasn't the democrats. Does reveal who is more willing to vote their conscience though doesn't it?
Both parties suffer corruption, no argument. One posion is just more palatable than the other.

Sometimes I wonder why humans tend toward the binary. Black/white, republican/democrat, axis/allies, yin/yang, good/evil, male/female, oh, guess the last two were redundant. ;)

49.5 percent. Busby trailed with 51,202 votes or 45
Had Busby won, it would have been called a Landslide.

Don't mean to hijack the thread but it invoked an interesting, (at least for me) memory.
Several years ago I'm in my back yard mowing the lawn, my trusty Springer Spaniel
sitting on the deck and drooling impatiently for me to shut the damn tractor down.
I happened to look up as a late model luxury car pulls into the driveway and out steps a very well dressed man with an enormous smile. My dog's name is Rocket, Rocky for short...and after taking one look at Mr. Suit that's just what he did, rocketed right through a newly installed screen door.
Turns out Mr. Suit is a semi local political hopeful, out stumping
for votes.
Just saw on the news last night that Mr. Suit is now under investigation for some sort of political flimflamery.....Rocky is now for rent or lease.

I mean I saw the thread, read your post and though WoW nash is going to leave a stain on your leg on this one!!
Post number 4, to bad you can't have him stuff and mounted. :lol
