Title: ASUS Probe Type utility
Post by: DREDIOCK on June 07, 2006, 05:12:59 PM
Perhaps this belongs in its own thread

BTW Anyone know of an "Asus Probe" Type utility that can be run on the Gigbyte motherboards?

I liked Probe with my old Asus as I could view and set everything up through the software. Tep limits, fan RPMs etc.
this MB doesnt seen to have that option without going into the bios on reboot.

Any other similar utilities out there?

I'ved used MBM4 (MotherBoard Monitor) with good results, as long as it is a brand-name mainstream MB model at least. Most proprietary tools that ship with the MB are probably cleaner as well as more feature-rich, MBM4 is an enthusiast or open-source type product.

true overclocks should be done in bios ... unless you have no choice there ..
(for optimal performance )  but then the "in windows " oc programs can help wake up a more limited bios clocking paramiters.. (Roocents)

user beware as for ocing can damage hardware .
