Title: sound problems with new patch

sound files get a crackling noise that comes and goes
have to type .resetv to clear it up

i have a yamaha dsxg sound card no probs pre patch
athalon 2600
gf6800 ultra video
 any thoughts?

you getting sounds like interference or like  a old record  wih scratches?
 i been getting some thing similar  now and again?

just thought it was some one going past in a noisy car lol

Had that happen as well. Way back already though..... hasnt come up since version 2.08 or any of the patches. To be honest, i probably just havent been online enough for that to occur.

Two outcomes: Either the game crashed shortly after, or i relogged to make it stop. Once it stopped on its own after 20 secs or so.

I've noticed a few oddities like that since the update as well. The quality and volume of vox seems to change periodically as well.
