Please, I know this has been asked for dozens and dozens of times.

Allow a setting for tracers ON or OFF for each vehicle. In some, we want tracers on, in others, we want them off. When switching between vehicles, we sometimes forget to change the tracer setting prior to take-off, but then it's too late.

Does anyone know if anyone at HTC ever said anything about this? I can't find nor remember this being answered one way or another.

This would be awesome, and I'd even settle for a .command so I didn't have to go through 5 layers of menus to get to the setting.  

It's been asked for a million times... it seems with all the interface changes HTC did in the last patch this would have been easily worked in.

Maybe it has to be global...at least with on or off for specific vehicles/planes?

I'd like the tracers to actually be visable against even a lightly clouded
sky while in a GV.

Don't know if its possible Midnight. But it sure would be sweet if it was.
Great idea & I hope HT can make it happen.

To Piggy back on this thread. It would really rock if we could change the color of the tracer. Especially in the ostie! It would help alot in tracking and leading the target.

Not sure who it was, but someone posted a nice set of pics done in AH but had the tracers colored.

It looked really nice....now if I can just remember who it was :)

Midnight, when will you learn that youll NEVER get an answer from HT in this forum? :)

He wont say anything. He read it and if he likes the idea, it will be probably be done.

Here, Here!  Don't want them in Ack. Like setting off a flare for the enemy. Don't need them in a plane. Be nice to have in an Osti but to see them past 50 feet it has to be dark.:mad:

Agreed, but the question was does ANYONE know if HT ever said anything about this one way or the other?

Seriously, we have had many requests for this in the past several years, and there have been several new releases and patches in that time where this could have been added in.

It would seem a rather simple "coad" flag to add in, something like...

IF plane_number = 1 then tracer_flag = 0
IF plane_number = 20 then tracer_flag = 1

We already have saved selections for each vehicle type (ord 1, ord 2, ord 3 fuel, convergence) so this additional flag (tracers ON / Off) is not like an entirely new component that hasn't been done before.

It is surely something that can be added, would be a nice addition / feature and is quite possibly one that no player would actually complain about.

If it can't be done, or will not be done, it would be nice if HTC would just let us know. It has happened in the past (HTC making comment in this forum)

You can change the color of tracers, but only on your map.

HTC would never accept a map with changed tracers:D
