My favorite setups are those which permit me to fly a Hurri I or a 202, and those which "force" me to fly a Ki-84.

Douglas DC-3 and Volkswagen Beetle Type 1.

Both fantastically succesful designs from the 1930's and both are still widely being used today. You gotta love 'em.

The first we have in AH as the C-47, the second not yet, but maybe HTC will add a Kubelwagen or beter still a Schwimmwagen! Sweet.

For those not in the know, the Kubelwagen (German for bucket car) was the German equivalent of the US Jeep and it was Beetle based. The Schwimmwagen (German for swimming car) was similar but it has four wheel drive and amphibious capability! Even ordinary Beetles have been built as 4x4's in the war.

FW190A8 for all uses, looks like a fighter, armed like an assault plane and maneuvers like a heavy bomber.

Actually I even mown the lawn with it. That what its best for.

It's not YOU he's getting out of the way of.

Well, he is, but only to avoid the barrage of .50cal and 20mm fire headed your way.

Anyway, the more I fly the FM2 the more I love it. I just need to convince my crew chief to strap a couple RATOs on it. :-P

ack-ack,

It is that kind of hubris that makes me want to fly anything but a P-38.

Honestly, it is just gallingly insulting and dismissive to anybody who has other favorites.

Occasionally ill fly a temp, 262, or 51.  A chog or u4 hog off a cv and a nik for those nasty situations.

ack-ack,

How about you try to avoid being an bellybutton about it.  Say what you like without insulting everybody else.  It is simple:

P-38:  Classic fighter that can do everything well and is a lot of fun.

See, that says what you like without the need to be a ******* about what you think about other people's choices.

Fighters: Il-2, Yak-9, and P-47D-25
Bombers: B-17G
Attackers: Il-2 and Stuka
Vehicles: Tiger and M-16

The Il-2's a blast in FT; everybody ignores you until you kill someone. Then they're all over you, fighting for their lives! :D

I love pretty much every single-engined American plane, with a special affection for the F4U1 Corsair, and, of course, Mustang (B-Model preferred, but only when I have a good aimin' day :) )

38's also rock, but don't really suit my usual flying style.  That said, with a wingy or two, they can make for some great moments.

The Ki-84 is by far my favorite AH ride.

Close second is the P-38L. Great for attacking and a fine dogfighter.

Favorite vechicle is the Tiger. I always want this biggest gun in a tank fight.

I have a handful of rides I use for specific needs.

La7 for base defense when you have to up from the next field and punish the vulchers.

N1K-J to fight your way up and out of the vulch and make life hell on the red guys. Spit 16 not too bad for this and I love its roll rate but I prefer the N1K.

110G when ord is down and a town or V-base needs to be dead. Its very effctive against other aircaft who take her too lightly as well.

C-Hog when Im at sea. The 4 Hispanos are like crack and are second to none for "base suppression CAP".

And finally the Hurri IID for tank busting. Its overlooked due to the IL2 but she is a great tank buster. Its shreds Panzzers and it will take out a Tiger. Doesnt seem to phase the T-34 for some reason but I can live with that.:aok

btw, thats Krustys kick bellybutton new Ki-84 skin.

naw i dont think they ganging I think debonair is right. they are getting thier wheels up..and the vulching woobiecane got hit by that other 109 way up in the corner that is getting ready to come back around to finish him off..

lol is true wat they say a picture is worth a thousand words... We can keep trying to figure out a story behind that pic but there will always be a debate..
