In the song Dead Man's Curve by Jan and Dean what were the two cars that were racing all the way to Dead Man's Curve. For a bounces question how many tail light were specified on one of the cars.

You sad bastard. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/wink.gif)

LOL! What else is there to do today. LOL!

Stingray and a shiny new Jag XKE. The stingray had six taillights.
Bonus bonus question(s):
1. In what city was the real "Dead Man's Curve"?
2. On what street and where (hints are in the song but not the street name)?
3. What happened to it? (Disclaimer: my knowledge on this one is strictly hearsay).

You got it Bluefish. I've have heard before but I've forgotten. I will guess It was Mulholland Dr. in L.A.? I know they used to race that road a lot in the 50's and 60's. Not sure if I spelled it right at that. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif) It might have been Colorado Blvd or Wilshire Blvd. I do know it was a real street that they were referring to. I think they removed the curve or block off the street. All guesses. I would love to here what you know on it.

Well, as I heard it, Dead Man's Curve was on Sunset Blvd. headed west from Hollywood (matches the order of the streets in the song: La Brea, Crescent Heights and Doheny), and it was supposedly a reverse camber turn just E of UCLA (it banked to the outside of the turn). Sometime in the late 60's/early '70s it was supposedly repaved and they fixed the camber, so, while it's still there, it's no longer quite so deadly.
Hehe, loved that song (and most Jan & Dean stuff).
"Well, the last thing I remember Doc, I started to swerve...."
Keep up the great trivia, Jimdandy!

Now that you say it Bluefish I seem to remember that too.
