DejaVu is getting to good at these so I'll try a little tougher one. Ford cam out with a really mean FE block 427 called the SOHC 427. Can anyone tell me what SOHC stood for?

Close Mr Bill. It had a Single OverHead Cam.

To be sadistic:
The biggest failing of the 427 SOHC was the length of the chain driving the cam, crankshaft and timing sprockets. It was so long it became very prone to stretching and causing mistiming and detonation at high RPM..
How long was this chain?

Uhhhhh ... Yep, single overhead cam is right the engine was called the sebring ...doh

Thx Sorrow I didn't know that. I would love to have a 4-speed Galaxy with one. Talk about surprising the hell out of some new Corvettes. (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
