Hi guys
Can anyone tell me if there's a difference in the 2 sets of rockets that are available to the IL2? I'm sure one is HE and the other AP, but wouldn't mind finding out one way or the other.
Cheers

The only difference in the rockets is the diameter of the warhead. ie RS-82 = 82mm warhead and the RS-132 = 132mm warhead.
The RS series of rockets are just high explosive. (what we have in game)
The BRS series used a shaped charge (high explosive anti tank).
The ROFS series used a high explosive fragmentation warhead.
Sure would be nice to get the BRS series modeled in game :D
The RS-132 has about 3x the amount of explosive than the RS-82 irl.
.9kg vs. .36kg

Gimme the BRS series now ! :D

What about the allied rockets in the game. The red& white 5" ones and the 4.5" tubes? Are they AP or HE only. I take it 5" does more damage than 4.5"?
Also any idea on the ones carried by Brit plane s and the FW190F8?

LOL the soviets were allied ;)
You are correct on the other parts ;)
The HVAR (large red & white rocket) and the 4.5" rockets are HE rounds.
The rockets that are carried on the tiffy (3.5" rocket) arent really rockets that the tiffy carried ;) The Brits had a 3" rocket mated to either a 25lb or 60lb warhead. The 25lb version was not explosive just a penetrator. The 60lb warhead came in 2 flavors, a semi armor piercing high explose round and a HEAT round (High Explosive Anti-Tank). They were called RP3 25lb or RP3 60lb. The RP3 stands for Rocket-Projectile 3" rocket.
The rockets on the FW190F8 have to be some of the best rockets in the game. They are the Panzerblitz 1 rocket. They work really well against GV's :)
But as a note it would be nice to get some more options for ord. :)
