For some reason, when I start AH and go into the arenas and get in a plane or tank, I try to view left and right with my joystick and LEFT goes BOTTOM LEFT, RIGHT goes BOTTOM RIGHT. I've checked my controls and they are all correct. I have no clue what could be the reason for this.

Two things I can think off.....in windows Settings>Control Panel>Game controllers, check that when u move hat it does move left n right only.
More likely though, goto stick mapping and check what HAT Left n HAT Right are mapped to.....maybe u accidently mapped it to look left down?

Actually,
It isn't any of that, it has nothing to do with my joystick. However I checked to make sure, and I was right, it wasn't.
I checked my AH controls and they're all the way I want them, except my controls just didn't follow the things I set them to...
I uninstalled and reinstalled Aces High, deleting the Aces High II folder after uninstall.
Problem solved, doesn't do it anymore.

AGH ANOTHER PROBLEM!
I reinstalled and the first flight after that everything worked great!
But I just now started AH again, and when I fire, it just keeps on firing even if I let go of the trigger! WTF! It only stops if I press ESC or ALT+TAB out of the game! If I don't it will just keep firing until I run out of ammo!
HTC, please check over your code because I CAN'T play like this! This is crazy! Please!

Could someone help me please HTC what could be the problem?

either you have the button mapped wrong in the game, or your stick button that is mapped is either crapping out, or is programmed as a "press" and not a "press and release".
There is nothing wrong with the HTC code, other wise there would be all kinds of complaints on these boards.
Check and make sure your stick is programmed correctly, and then check the mapping in the game.

The only possible reason could be a bug in the code, because I play a lot of other games with my joystick with no problems. America's Army and BF2 are both great with my joystick. I press my trigger to shoot, and it stops shooting when I let go. I've checked and my key setup is all correct, I checked my controller setup and its all correct. I don't know what else could be the problem. Is there any way I could 'trace my steps' to the problem? I really want to play...

I'm having a similar problem with my X52. When I look "back right", I get "back right up". I went and checked my stick map and it was indeed programmed wrong. I changed it to the correct setting and still got "back right up". Seems the original setting will not change even tho it says it has.
Got to be a bug.

i too am having a similar problem. the difference is whenever i leave the hanger and go to the runway, as soon as i start to pan my views around it locks in one position for a while and then resumes normal functioning. on one flight last night this problem occured for as long as a minute until my views resumed normal functioning. i have a Saitek X45, which worked perfectly up until this new version and patch were introduced. mapping is obviously not the problem due to the fact that the views respond normally after some time passes. what coulsd be the problem? sounds like a bug to me.
