Before the NFL Draft this year, the Raiders picked up a TE from another team.I missed it on ESPN. Who was he and what team did he come from?

They swapped a 4th round pick in the draft for Roland Williams of the Rams.

They signed some other TE's:
Terrance Huston
Eric Bjornson
Pete Chryplewicz

You gotta like any football player with 6 straight consonants in his name!

Hope they sign Rice too.  Brown, Rice, Garner, Wheatley, Gannon - unstoppable.

If they could get Rice that would be great, we need some one to catch the long ball, and he can handle the double team. I heard last year tho he was thinking of NY. Are the Raiders trying for him?

Rice worked out with the Raiders last week.    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/smile.gif)

At this point he's not as good as Brown, but if you add him in there with Rison and Jett, it becomes a nightmare for opposing secondaries.

BTW The Raiders have plenty of guys who can catch the deep ball.  What they don't have is a QB who can throw it.  To work with Gannon what they need is guys who can get open 10-15 yards down field, because Gannon will find you every time if you are open down there.  Which is why they picked up Garner and why they need a sure-handed tight end.

AWSOME!!!!!!  (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)

I have to keep in touch with you more often, I don't get as much news on the Raiders here as I do on the Giants and Jets.

So if he's working out with them I'm sure he's definatly Considering it.    (http://bbs.hitechcreations.com/smf/Smileys/default/biggrin.gif)
