today i was fightng a f6f with a tiffy i hit it with cannons took off most of its wing and it carried on flying with ease.then i took off its rudder and then its elivators and it still flew .
then i fought a f4fu4 and hit it with 20mm arounf the tail the cockpit and wing tips and no efect he then shot mewih one ping.
this is getting beyond a joke

I have had a good portion of 1 wing shortened while flying my hell cat many times and if i lean the stick all the way opposite it will continue to fly relatively level and if you careful you can even get some turns out of it.
been like that awhile ... flying yes .. hard manuevering no way
turns toooo good in the direction of the stub wing heheh and will roll into the dirt if you go to far
everytime ive tried to land tho the low speed causes it to drop out of the sky too fast when the short wing fails to provide enough lift to maintain any kind of flight
it seems reasonable for the damage Ive experienced .. but I have a biased opinion :)

rd, you sure it wasnt HT testing his AI drones again? They keep flying normally with just about every damage possible (except pilot kill).

Not necessarily anything unusual here.
I have been able to fly (not dogfight) planes with most of one wing missing, so long as I keep my speed up, and compensate with the stick. I usually crash on landing though, as I can't keep them level when I slow down.
In the second case, if the f4f (or F4U-4) hit your pilot, it might only take one ping.

Well the drones do have normal handles AFAIK (I never met one), they are not called HiTech.
