Im over a4 in a temp about say 13-14k intercepting rook mission of 152s. Make a pass than run as 6x152s jump on my rear. Extend for awhile to see 2x152s closing in and I turn when they are 600 off. I pull maybe 3-4gs and was going between 400-450 and get myself in a perma blackout for 30 seconds and odd kills me. I only ask how can a temp get a perma blackout pulling 3-4gs when can pull 6gs in a 51 or 38 and not get perma blackout. This left me totally still and slow for odd to just kill me. No offense odd but that perma blackout was a bunch of nonsense.

I get these all the time... happens when on auto even.

I hate when you black out, and if you try to maneuver as you start to come out of it dumps you right into a full blackout again.

This is exactly why I don't fly planes that exceed 300mph.

6g's in a ww2 ftr with no g suit your head should explode lol

I think you mean IMplode :aok
Well if you're doing 450+ in a temp there's no way you're going to pull a 3-G turn. You're just too fast. You pull a 3-g turn and it's like a lazy long drawn out turn (like you don't care if you take the whole sector). I'm guessing you pegged 'er on the G-meter. Same BS happens on the 262. Slight movement equates into full G spike.
Only, in the 262 it rips your wings off, doesn't black you out.

I get blackouts in the tower reading the map. I think it's to much beer that I drank! :D Seriously, I often wonder what goes on around me during a blackout, or a red out. Seems like my guns don't hit their target, that's for sure. Also, I have never got a HO collision during a black or red out. Never got shot down in either situation as well. However, I do wonder what sort of packet ping things go on in these situations as I wonder about my Internet connection all the time. And lets not forget about the blackouts we get when we got blood all over our canopies. These are way cool!

The term you are looking for is that you suffered G-Lock. Did you film? Id like to see your accelerometer. I bet you spiked at many more Gs than you think.

Jaxxo's thick brow ridge protects him from head injury and implosion. It also makes shim look like a gorilla.

If I recall correctly HT said that the long black outs are a fatigue model and depend on how much you blacked out before.

No I didnt film it thinking as I never had this in a temp before.
Bozon....this was my first blackout of the flight and it happened to be a perma blackout.

For me the perma-blackouts occur if I continue to pull enough G's to cause the tunnel vision to close completely for more than a few seconds. If it happens when someone's on my tail pulling the same moves at the same speed, I can bet he's blacking out too. If he is, I wake up in one piece. If he has a friend nearby, I get picked.
