Title: Rudder Peddals

Because I don't think A,S,D keys can cut it anymore, especially if I used the num pad to do the views as well.

You should see how I switch between the two, itâ€™s like Iâ€™m playing the piano hard core.

Post by: Easyscor on June 23, 2006, 09:11:29 AM: I use the CH Pro USB Peddals. Other then the internal broken wire problem I've been happy with them. IIRC, if the CH product was assembled without the wire bundle properly secured to the bellcrank, it can catch one of the wires and break it. I've seen them for $100US at Frys.

Thrustmaster came out with a competing product but I haven't seen any comparisons or reviews.

It´s a small dedicated company with a fine reputation building rudder pedals for years. Prices range from 128-270 €. I use the Simped Vario pro USB and they are superior to any CH pedals I have seen.

http://www.combatsim.com/htm/dec98/pedal-hoff.htm has a review of the old, non-usb version.

If I remember right, Karnak is/was using Simped pedals too.

I don´t have CH fighterstick so I can´t know fore sure. But never read about any problems, and as they are USB controllers, they should work fine with any combination here in AH. I personally have them combined with X45 and Cyborg gold joysticks (all plugged in at the same time). Pacific fighters was a problem, for that game could not figure what was controller #1, #2. I had to manually edit the config files, then it worked too

Fixed twice, broke three times. Kills the toe brakes. I must stomp on 'em too hard. Other than the toebrakes they have held up well. Still no spikes or anything.

Post by: Lusche on June 24, 2006, 08:55:50 AM: Before you order, you might ask them how long delivery takes. I ordered my pedals last november and they took about 1 month(!) to deliver. I think christmas was the reason for that, but as its a very small company, i´m not sure if it´s better now.
