Title: i want a kill streak counter like warbirds has

sucks waiting till tour resets to try and see how long you can go before getting shot down

sucks even more getting shot down and waiting till next month to streak again

when i fly i like to see how many kills i can get on one life and seeing my best streak cuz i know im gonna get shot down after so many kills.

I do believe they are waiting until they get a special 'large canopy' for the P-38.  If they impliment the different kill streak tally before then, you'd never be able to get the canopy shut cit.

How lon is the streak in your underwear, that's about as important.   :)

I agree with Citabria on this one. it would be nice to know what your best streak is, or how you are doing when you are on a streak. I'm sure mine would be around 7 or 8, maybe 9.  But it would be nice to know.

And I know Hitech knows how to set it up, he did the one in the game  Raider Wars.

That'd be pretty spiffy to add.  Tho you can just do the same thing...  just keep track of the last kill # in your buffer, when you deplane, write it down.  Of course that's easy for guys like me that get shot down all the time.   ;)   Hehe, I want a death streak too!  And I want it to be searchable by name!  Something like "Nifty has a longest death streak of 15 deaths without a kill"!   ;)

I agree with you.  I recall Warbirds had a "longest streak" counter.  For those of us who like that kind of statistic this would be nice to have.  

This tour I made it my personal goal to go for as long as I could without getting shot down.  I lasted 18 kills before getting shot down over some 15-20 sorties (a personal best).  It really makes you fly more cautiously.  You don't find yourself just blindly diving into a furballs without regard for getting shot down.  I tried to treat my virtual "life" like it was real and act accordingly.

I like to think of it like chasing Joe DiMaggio's 56 game hit streak.   How far can I go.  But someone has to set the record first   :)

I too like kill streaks. I also try to go as long as I can without getting shot down. However, it never fails me to get a disco before I get shot down and that just ruins it for me. I also treat my virtual life as a real one, but it doesn't make me more cautious. For some reason I feel more "Obligated" to get down and save my bud. Since I wouldn't want to go through real life knowing I just stayed high and watched my best bud get spanked by a mob of N1K2-J's

I've used to like streaking..
In WarBirds it was nice to look at when streak grew  ;)
In WB I got 54 streak in P-38J, not once, but twice.. guess what, both ended same way: crashing into buffs high 6.
