For flying the RV-8 when not at convention?
*sheepish hand raised*
10 min, no flying for you!
Heh, was worth it though, when one of the con guys said what the code was to ride the plane and what field had it active. Thanks for the thrill!
I'll see yas at con next year, had wife flak this time around!
-
Wish i had had the chance War, any other way to access this baby offline?
-
It probably works offline...it is plane type "89" and was included in one of the 2.08.x patches.
Gotta admit wondering why the last one was so big :D
-
please make it avail off line!!! :)
-
Hehe!!
I can't wait to see it in the HTH arena if they let us fly 'em. Airsmoke on! Lasers ready!
Speaking of lasers, who else wants to see X-wings and TIE fighters next year!?
-
I just asked Pyro...it wont work offline, at least not now. He said maybe sometime down the line they'd turn it on for offline or H2H.
-
It would be fun if they would. :(
Dont see how it could hurt anything, off line or h2h.
Plus I never got to fly it!:cry :cry :cry
That and the sheep with little wings that had MG's in them way back when. :-D

I flew one. What a hoot!
Actually I had to fly it twice. I fly with tracers turned off. Didn't dawn on me the darn thing didn't have a sight until I got behind an Me 110. I had to ditch, turn on the tracers and then go again. Much better.
But I think those con guys must have been wearing G-suits. When I tried to turn them as sharp as they were..... black out.

You know you're an old fart when you're the only person who seems to remember the .plane command

I remembered it, as I was trying to access it offline. I even counted how many plane types were in the hanger.
-
Ahhh... but how about how many plane types there AREN'T in the hangar??
Don't forget to add 1 for santa.

There are 88 plane types, 88 being the Jeep. Anything higher gives you an invalid model number error, but 89 was the RV8.

Some probably saw my inadvertant plane 12 and /.plane 24 lines of text.
Took me awhile to get from dot plane 1 to dot plane so and so and see that nice little ride.
I bet NATEDOG's ear still has a 'high pitched' whine in it from certain vocal complainers.
-
I was flyin with no sound.... but my text buffer was full! but the end result of a certain vocal complainer was quite enjoyable, and got a rousing applause from everyone at the con!
-
Actually, the high pitched whine Nate heard was from the MD20/20 slushies he was drinking. :)
