Where did you get the photograph of the F6F-5 you posted in the thread "Time to Un-Perk the Hogs?"
I saw it in Flight Journal's special edition magazine on the Hellcat and I've been trying to find a copy of it on the internet ever since. Sure would make a beautiful desk-top background.
John Dibbs was the photographer but I couldn't find the phot at his website.

If all else fails I think you can order specific issues of that magazine off the flight journal website... hell I think I have a copy of it sitting around here someplace... if you tell me what pic it was and if I can find the mag I can scan it for you.

Soulyss,
Thanks for the offer. The magazine is the Summer 2006 edition of Flight Journal entitled "F6F Hellcat: Ultimate Zero Killer."
Page 72...Article entitled "Satan's Playmate." Similar picture on page 82

I did a google search for "F6F Hellcat" and found one in the images section. It wasn't resized though, so it is kind of small for a background pick.
I do have some other F6F pics that I will use from time to time as wall papers from time to time.

Here are some of them:

Of course, they aren't my pictures, just some I have found from around the net. I wish I could remember where I found them to give the proper credit for them.

Very Nice - I will see if I can get into my collection and return the favor. I think I have some that are actual combat photos.
