I did that for a year (weekends only).. had some fun, but best before the place filled up with drunk 20 year old brats.

My favorite hours were 18-22:00 in the summer before the place got too busy

:) be careful.. you may end up doing it full time if you like it

Late one Friday night a policeman spotted a man driving very erratically through the streets of Dublin. They pulled the man over and asked him if he had been drinking that evening.

"Aye, so I have 'tis Friday, you know, so me and the lads stopped by the pub where I had six or seven pints. And then there was something called "Happy Hour" and they served these mar-gar-itos which are quite good. I had four or five o' those. Then I had to drive me friend Mike home and o' course I had to go in for a couple of Guinnesses -- couldn't be rude, ye know. Then I stopped on the way home to get another bottle for later..."

And the man fumbled around in his coat until he located his bottle of whiskey, which he held up for inspection.

The officer sighed, and said, "Sir, I'm afraid I'll need you to step out of the car and take a breathalyser test."

Indignantly, the man said, "Why? Don't ye believe me?"

My winecooler , very simple.

Take a large cup

Fill it with Ice

50% Squirt Soda

50% Merlot or Cabernet wine

Probably one of the best "wine coolers" you'll ever drink.

Dark and Stormy.

Half Ginger Beer (not ginger ale).
Half Dark Rum.
On ice.

This is a sailor's mana.  Many sailors have been known to drink it WHILE racing, at least in light winds.

I'm a little dissapointed that Nilsen hadn't said it yet.

I take the rum straight up, or whisky on the rocks. Never while sailing, but a shot of rum is compulsory when the boat is tied to the pier after (anchor shot). Plenty more at the yatch club or tavern later on while complaining about other peoples behavior and the fact that all those infront of you at the finish line actually jumped the gun and should be disqualified.

S.O.P.

A real Dark and Stormy MUST be made with Goslings Black Seal Rum...otherwise it is a cheap imitation.

I advise to use the 80 proof stuff...the 151 proof did not receive the VeriFDB approval I thought it might a few years ago.

Oh, I know curval.  But you're talking to someone who doesn't have that much money.  Any dark rum will do.

Where do you live man?  I was always under the impression that it was sold in the US at normal retail prices, not at a premium.  I'll have a word with Nancy.

actually that is how i feel..

lot of rope to get tangeled up in, and you need to move around a crowded deck more when you sail than when you sit and drive a powerboat. ;)

Dude that rum was definitely VeriFDB approved.  It's just that we were drinking 151 proof straight from the bottle.  Even FDBs are not prepared to ingest rocket fuel.  And our defenses were down after drinking all that apfelkorn.

I'm going to have to put in a Rusty Nail.

60% Scotch (nothing too strong), 40% drambuie, and Ice.  This is one of the most divine drinks I've ever had.

Another one:  Drambuie and Soda.  Pretty simple, but you use two lime wedges, one to squeeze and drop in, the other to garnish.  This one can be mixed very strong without you knowing it.

I accidentally mixed one up the other day that had about 4-5 shots of Dram in it, and I didn't notice until 20 minutes later.
