Title: What type of CV

I was just wondering CV class the CV is in the game. I meen was it a Yorktown or a Essex class. I was once told about a CV that could launch two aircraft at once not shure if its true but I was told it was on a Essex Class. Thats why i was wondering what type class our CV are in the game?:rolleyes: :aok

I was just wondering if it was the biggest in class because like I said before I have been tould about a CV that you could launch 2 planes togather?? I was wondering if it was true:O

i was wondering the same, the uss interpid was in ww2 and shes right here in manhattan. I hevent been there in years, maybe this summer ill go, they got an old hellcat that i want to check out but i remember the last time i was there that deck is huge, the tomcat from far looks kinda small on the deck.

HT said that everything is to scale and when I was looking at making a snapshot of the Doolittle Raid, I saw a pic of the Hornet with 16 B-25's on her flight deck...

Theres not much difference between the B-25 and 26 in size infact IIRC the 25 has a larger wing span, but  You would be lucky to fit half a dozen  B-26's on our CV's deck.....

So when you look at it that way.... its a pretty dam small CV...

I just wish the thing was bigger, wit more room a u might be able to took off fully loaded, i learned after time wat the max wieght was to get off the deck but i see alot of guys just hit the water time time and again.

If it was modded after a us cv i would have plenty of runway and i might be able to take off wit a fully loaded f6f, now u have to trade between fuel and ord, u can never have enuff of either on a jabo run.

It's possible to get up with a full load of fuel and ords. Hit the WEP, use flaps and get your gear up as soon as you clear the deck.

Crossing your fingers helps, too. :D

I can take off in an F6f or an F4u while the ship is turning with 100 fuel and max ord!  It's really not that hard!  This has been said time and time again...First - 30 degrees flaps!  second-  Is the ship turning?  If Yes, back up to the end of the flight deck...  Third-  WEP on and do a MANUAL t/o....finally as soon as your wheels leave the deck of the ship lift up the gear....keep your flaps down until you start building airspeed, and take them out in incriments....

its really not that hard

I can take a Lanc off with full ord and 50% fuel.
