This is a bit off from the forum topic, but i figured that this is the forum where I might find the right people.
I am going to visit London for a few days in a couple of weeks and was wondering if there are any good bookstores with a good selection of ww2 aircraft literature? If you know such stores, I would really appreciate some directions and addresses to find those :)

RAF Museum bookstore is your best bet :)
-
Foyles and Motorbooks are also pretty good and located downtown.

Foyles on Charing Cross road, - then head down to Leceister square. Motorbooks in on the left from Charing cross road, - close to St Martin's.
On the way, you will see more bookstores.
Nearby: Leicester square, Piccadilly, And Chinatown ;)

Ok, thank you all for your advices :)

Have you not been there before?
or, Have, you not been there before??
;)

Not in London but FYI THE Book store for us types is Midland Counties Publications in Hinkley.
You can spend hours there and realise you do not have enough money to buy up all the stuff you want.

The Aviation Book Shop was the best in London (Holloway Road) and probably best in the whole world. It moved to Kent couple years ago. I have not visited in the new place but I used to spend literally days browsing around in the old place.

:D
No Angus, I have not been there before, but I'm very much looking forward to it. Especially the Farnborough airshow :)

Farnborough is cool.
Duxford is also very utterly good. BTW, they have a little bookshop there as well, - not big, but with some main titles, and some as well that I've not seen elsewhere.
Oh, and Gripen: Where in Kent ??? Been around there and used to have friends there, so I might be back one day ;)

You can find them from here (http://www.aviation-bookshop.com/).

Wow, nice one ;)
Foyle's have a very good online store though, and I found some titles there that I didn't get from the link.
The test pilot's story on their front looks very good, - MUST BUY , lol.
-
BTW they use to have a stand in Duxford.

Yup,- been there.
BTW, I had a heck of a time in Duxford in 2000.
Had a press-pass on the September show (BoB anniversary)
Got sunburned that day ;)
