Don't know all of eBay's selling rules, but I'm sure they have a catchall offensive material rule buried somewhere.

The story above that one was more interesting.

Aaron Landau Schwarz, the founder and owner of T-Shirt Hell said, "I really think it's an insult to the legacy of Christopher Reeve that eBay would order a Cease and Desist on this shirt. What if I told you all of the proceeds from this shirt were earmarked for spinal cord research? Now, that statement is probably not true. But Christopher Reeve's legacy is one of hope. So, you can hope that I'm not lying, and that some of the money we make could possibly go to spinal cord research. Does eBay want people to give up hope?"

:rofl

MAybe he isnt yelling it...but the way he tries to flip it around so that he's practically conducting a charity in Reeves name is weak. If you are gonna be rude, crude and nasty...stand up for it. Say "Ya..I said it..because I thought it was funny" Dont shrink back and try to make it sound like something else.

Filth....  he's not claiming that he's running a charity.  He's being sarcastic and funny, and you are the only one here who doesn't realize it.

I've bought a bunch of shirts from T-Shirt hell.  I got my sister a shirt that said "I used to listen to N*Sync when they were underground" and her husband a shirt that said "I (plane) NY" (in the style of the I (heart) NY shirts).

Plus some others I can't remember now.

I don't believe this is the case. I think chairboy is right, he is being sarcastic. When I read what he wrote I immediately thought he was mocking eBay, not Reeves at all.

WRT the first story on the page...

When I was in the Navy I used to catch static for wearing plain white t-shirts. They were nice heavy T's, no different than most shirts plastered with logos or whatever. But because they were just plain white they constituted "underwear." I started taking a Sharpie and dabbing a dot over my heart. For some reason, that was enough to make them "outerwear"

Sometimes bright line rules sure do seem silly.
