in certain styles of karate the yellow belt is a significant achievement and the most difficultly tested of the kyu belts.  if one practices the basic katas until they are deeply engrained and the moves become second nature they will always come in handy in any physical altercation.

If you say so I cant arugue. In my style it is the lowest belt you can get.. (white does not count as a grade)

In my style of fighting it's what you wrap around your opponents throat as tight as you can until they pass out or die, then you can pretty much have your way with them.

 "where the head goes...the *** will follow" & "all the oxygenated blood the brain needs to support the rest of the body flows through that spindly little column of flesh"

 I've always been a big fan of the Hoyce Gracie type of choke down, it works well on the street. Painful submission holds & choke holds are your friends.
