Title: Tornado in Western NY
Post by: BlueJ1 on June 30, 2006, 02:45:55 PM
Very bad thunderstorms and heavy hail. Had a confirmed "small" tornado with speeds atleast 35 mph. Touched down in Cheektowaga. Minor damage. Happened about 30 minutes ago. I'll provide a link soon.

EDIT: Dam me for buying a ipod instead of a digital camera. The hail is quarter size. Hurt like heck trying to get a sample.

I wish we would get some rain.  Sure is dry around here.  I think we have gottten 1/8" in the last month, and it happened in a short burst one day.

Atleast 35 mph. Roofs are torn off homes, tractor trailors littered arcoss the thruway, and railcars areover turned. This tornado wasnt even a female fart compared to some of the tornados seen down south. Thing is we rarely see a tornado at all.

We live on the largest earthquake zone on the world. Sooner or later we will have a badearthquake. None of the homes or anything for that matter are built with them in mind.

Wow, its like you guys had a flight of P-47's come in and strafe the **** out of every golf cart in the area.

Look at the impact damage on the side of the home.
