Title: My wish of the week
Post by: Tumor on July 01, 2006, 12:43:06 AM
Please HTC... make stick-stirring actually a bad thing.  It's getting rather tiring.  I find it hard to believe (in advance) this hasn't been dumbed down for noobs.

They could do it in real life, anything to avoid getting killed.  But i think it'd disorient you to some extent, so maybe make your head bob and make the screen a little fuzzy after you stop stirring, to various degrees depending on how long you were stirring.

Ya... thats kinda where I'm goin.  Not saying it couldn't be done... problem is, given the length of time this game's been around, lots of folks have learned to play the net-lag/stick-stir game.  A couple I'll leave nameless I've observed actually waiting for the shot.  Unfortunatley, I suck without tracers...   You hit the key to the problem, currently there's no consequence to jittering around between -/+ g's, and I do NOT buy that a "pilot" would be able to maintain his/her sense of spacial awareness with many of the manuevers I see these days.

WTF......

have you never got the message "dont move your controls so rapidly" ?

I get it every now and then usually on a bad takeoff or landing

I got that message one time in the T.A. before I went into the M.A. my first time, that's the only time I have ever seen it.

I was just thinking... In every gun cam footage video i've seen, when someone is being shot at from dead 6, there hasn't been one instance where you see him flapping around like a fish.  I'm sure he knew there was someone shooting at him, and i'm sure not all of them were "NOOBS".

There have been many times saddled up on a spit, when all of a sudden he starts a siezure, and i miss. At first it used to piss me off to the point where i wanted to punch a hole in my monitor, while going nuts on squad channel. Now i just laugh.

I think Nirvana has a good idea to remedy it though. :aok
