Looking for folks that have far more resources than I do. I've got a scan from a book and it shows a TA152 with red rudder and cowling. I'm wondering if there's anything preventing us from making a skin for it (so few 152 skins!)

I enver ever found any info about this. A recent post made me search for this to see if the image was still attached.
I think we need more variety in the 152 skins, and would skin this if I could get any more info on it. I'm reluctant to take it at face value because it doesn't look a think like the other 152s at the time.

Never seen one like that. Problem with the Ta152 is that so many of them have the same paint job. If you choose to skin it I have a temp you could use. Rivets arent "historical" but the pannel lines are.

That'd save me some time, thanks.
I just dunno if I got a leg to stand on, accuracy-wise. Would like to see it in-game, definitely.

I found this one awhile ago but dont have any proof it was real eather.
Edit: Also have some pages that Crumpp sent me that has black and white pics of 190s in a "blueprint" kinda thing.

That doesn't quite look like a Ta152... is it?

Looks like eather a dora or Ta152. It had no title on it.
Now that I take a good look at it, its a dora :p
Dux how do you become a member of AH skin team? Do you have to send HT some beer? :D

				No scoop, it's a Dora.
EDIT: We also have a very similar skin in-game, only with more green than brown.

			-
Not to hijack the thread but did the 152 have the same engine that the Dora and Ju88 have?

			-
No, the scoop's on the other side, which leads me to think it's a different engine. It was a Jumo 213E.
Dora had the Jumo 213A.
I think they were pretty different beasts, as the Dora's Jumo topped out around 22k or so.

				Krusty,
Check this page out, it shows pictures of a TA 152 of JG301 under restoration.
TA 152 H0 restouration link (http://www.thomasgenth.de/survivors/Ta152/ta152.html)
I would be very suspect of that paint scheme.  All my material shows a yellow/red RV band on the fusalage for JG301 and the pictures I have shows a black swastika on the tail not white.  The red would be more indicative of JG1.
Cheers.

Thanks Fester. I've seen that link, but it's always nice to look at it again.
Well it came out of a book. It was fairly decent if somewhat survey-level for a book on German aircaft in WW2.
It was different enough from the normal JG301 aircraft that it gave me pause, but they author/artist must have had SOME source they based it on, otherwise they'd have just copied the JG301 schemes, which are well documented.
I wonder why the author/artist did it this way, but it really makes me think there might be some obscure test-version (prototype) that used this skin, even if only briefly.
Then, maybe I'm just hoping for a more interesting 152 to skin, eh? :cry

I dunno, TK... I'm not on the Skinner Team, but on the CM Terrain Team.
I think to be a Skinner, you need to be asked. Waffle would know for sure. :)

Yes, I do that a lot lately, I did mean Fencer,
From now on I'm not even going to read names, I'm just gonna say "Thanks red-nosed-p51-avatar guy!!"
