In the Tour de France...
This one made me want to throw up. This guy (http://www.cyclingnews.com/photos/2006/tour06/index.php?id=/photos/2006/tour06/tour061/S-HUSHOVDTERRA9757) is finishing the race, heartrate at 190 bpm, and he gets a 5 cm papercut in his arm from one of these green hand thingies (http://img1.travelblog.org/Photos/3492/14293/t/61454-Dylan-and-His-Very-Large-Hand-0.jpg).
Ugh.

Yeah, and I forgot to mention, they're going about 40+ mph when they come into the finish like that. Not exactly typing paper, more like posterboard, but stilll...it's paper.
Kind of amazing...kind of like when a tornado pushes straw through fenceposts.
Reynolds...in the finishing straight, the fans are all leaning over the barriers to get a better look. They also pass out all those green PMU hands so people can wave them and crap. Someone just had it hanging over the edge and the dude hit it at 40 mph.
Similar thing happend to Armstrong when he rode to close to fans. Caught something and crashed:

Screw that. What they ned is MORE of those cardboard thingies.
To win the race you should have to run a gauntlet of them and make it to the end.
Then and only then will I give a damn about some clown riding around on a bike with one nut.
Speaking of which.
I almost ran down one of these wannabies today.
He was dressed int he full garb and ran a redlight and pulled right out in front of me. I was like Get out of the f)@@)en road A-hole!
He uses the F bomb on me
"Oh yea. Pull out in front of me like that again and I'll run over your arse like you were a paper cup"
God I am really starting to DETEST bycyclists

same thing happened on the way to work yesterday morning I had a green right turn arrow, and as usual unlike every other driver I look left even on a green arrow sure enough here comes a bike running the red light, so close had I just gone I woulda squished him like the maggot bike riders are. I have to wait for him to go by, so I go. get up to about 35 and am in the far left lane on a four lane road, when he glances over his shoulder and cuts across all four lanes, prompting me to brake for him hard. I am sure a big white fedex truck is not that hard to see.
I hate bicyclists

Yes, because people on bicycles are very dangerous to people in cars. Imagine what would happen in a crash.
And it's not normally idiotic people in cars who neglect to pa attention to what they're doing and thus end up torpedoing a cyclist, killing or maiming 'im oln the spot.
Those damned car-hating cyclists! They make the streets unsafe for big SUVs.

I'm just saying, why can't bicyclists ride single file when another car comes? They will actually ride 3+wide so as to block the road. I understand it's a touchy topic, it's been brought up before. Everyone has a right to the road, so allow them that right.

what a total whimp. he looks about ready to pass out from a little blood loss and small cut.
at most he has lost half a pint there, and the cut itself will maybe sting for a few days at most.
these profeshional sports people take WAAAAY to much care of thier precious bodies.
yup. i realise what im saying is stupid and sound like bravado, but seriously, if it was me i would be running round scaring girls by threatening to splatter them with blood, and possibly trying to 'drip draw' smiley faces on the tarmac. :D
