rank means very little, but kazaa IS a very decent pilot. why he worries about his rank i'm not sure, but, whatever turns you on ;)

I got bored this tour and played for fighter rank. I still upped vulched bases and had plenty of fun furballing and the likes but just chose my fighter sorties wisely. Rank is simply what it is, just a ranking, no real life prizes or importance just somethiing to make the game interesting with the setting of goals and whatnot. Grats, Kazaa nice run there at the end, thought i had yas! :aok

I won't say anything against playing for a high score. If someone wants to do what it takes to get a high score, more power to them. I would say that it is impressive to see someone other than SHawk at the top. I don't think I could beat him, so
Kazaa and SHawk. Competition is always good, no matter what form it takes.

yup, what would be sad is if people at the top of the rank game *****ed and moaned when they didnt win.
its a pretty selfish person who constantly belittle the achievments of others simply because they dont play that way.
even if you are so self centered that you feel there is no way you can share the others feeling of acomplishment with them, you could at the very least ignore the thread.
if you cant say sommit nice or at least vaguely original and thought provoking, why bother open your trap.
edit, yes, round of applause for the triple post, not sure ive seen one before.

Congrates Lord Kazaa. Nice to see another name up there. Nothing taken away from SHawk. Well deserved on his #1 placements. Just good to see someone new :D

Yes, there is nothing as fun as staying well above the enemy, and coming down only when they are busy. Then "Extending" 5k.
Yet you'll find me on the deck in the 5 vs 1 in my "bomber"

Kazaa doesnt play for score usually just this month he had a crack at it and he achieved what he set out to do.
Friendly competition is what the game is about whether it be score, dogfighting, bombing or Gving. As long as you enjoy what turns you on we will all still be playing and having fun....

Let me just say gents, this was a one time thing. I started the tour on a all time high fighter wise. So I set myself a goal early in the tour to see how well I could do for this particular rank.
Unfortunately :( when patch 2 came out the mouse had some problems, so I was unable to fly a fighter for a while.
It was only till patch 3 came out that I was able to get back on the horse & fly again. :) When it came to the last 10 days of the tour I realised that I had a solid rank going all around the board, this was because I flew bombers & GVed a lot during patch 2.
So I said to myself why not, I’ll see how far I can go. It was just down to pure luck, a great friend & squad that I was able to get as far as I did. :aok
Now I go back to being the Kazaa that has a ceiling of 8,000 feet & will case the sea of red like the lemming I am . :O

Hmm even though we just had the end of month reset I didn't even bother to look or think about the ranks on the home page. Wtg Kazaa on your achivment although seeing how a lot of people use weaknesses in the system leads me to belive the best pilots are the ones with ranks in the top few hundred... I could be wrong I'll bet there are lots with ranks in the 1000's that love uping at vulched fields and such but are still great pilots...
When my rank actually go's below 200 it's usually because I some how have managed to fly My fighter well in some magical way, I'm exelent in bombers (although rank dosn't drop much for FH's):D , GV's I can hold my own. In short If my rank does well it's because I have done well not because I have gamed the system.
High rank won't mean much to me untill HT improves on the system in some way. There are just to many ways to use some aspects of it right now to get the top spots. Not that I am acusing those in the top ranked spots of doing this, I have no way of knowing if they do or not.
I would love to go for high rank if I wasn't compeating with other people that use the flaws in the ranking system.
Though the patiance that SHawk desplays hanging out over fields at 10 to 15K leads me to think he might be fun to go on a long range bombing mission with :)
Actually SHawk if your ever on the Bish side of light and good look me up sir.;)

Well at least your honest about it :aok, no that the other guys arent either at least most of em. But the guys that bow before the great Home page Top 5 LOL are hysterical. IT is a feat of patience.
